Ive been using some of their stuff for a while. I really dig it. Just upgraded the free fracture to Fracture XT and bought convex and subvert. I think palindrome will be the nly one i don't have. good stuff all around

They're not really my kind of thing but for as long as Plugin Boutique offers them for such low prices ($10 for a few of them right now) I will be tempted and sometimes grab one or two.
Then all I need to do is figure out how to fit them into... anything.

Surely there must be consensus by now...

Some of them are harder to tame than others : Hysteresis, Tactic, polygon get be incredibly musical. OTOH fracture XT and subvert can get pretty intense real fast. A workflow I like to use with the more outlandish ones is the to duplicate a existing layer from one of my tracks using the plugin 100% wet and than boucing the result to audio. I now have a big sausage of sound design that is somewhat related to the existing layer. I put the gain of that new track a -inf. I use a gate, env follower or manual volume automation to create lil glitches and fills where it fills appropriate. Hope this helps a bitpough wrote: Thu Aug 29, 2024 5:00 pm They're not really my kind of thing but for as long as Plugin Boutique offers them for such low prices ($10 for a few of them right now) I will be tempted and sometimes grab one or two.

The glitchmachines are certainly weird little devices. I've never quite figured out how to incorporate them into my workflow, but I haven't given up on most of the ones I have. Subvert didn't appeal to me, but I will likely upgrade Tactic to 2.0 at some point. They all seem to eventually reach the $5-10 range. Their upgrade pricing can be weird, for example Palindrome 2.0 is $10 but the upgrade from 1.0 to 2.0 is $25. Plugin Boutique appears to be the bargain basement when they are on sale.

Great fodder for effects in the least, tho personally I think Ivo is a great sound designer. Glitchmachines maybe not for everyone, but if you like glitch and techno stuff, well... you probably already own them, if not you probably should.
The developer guy makes very cool stuff as well, along a similar vein of course, via the Inear Display moniker, all of them great

Another little workflow tip if you struggle to do something useful with them. load some presets of their audio effects on sends track. Sparsly send some drum hits or melodic elements to those send of ear candy or to mark the end of a 16 bar loop or somethingkidslow wrote: Thu Aug 29, 2024 8:37 pm The glitchmachines are certainly weird little devices. Heh, yea i have all of his stuff, its gen a bit more musical than the glitchmachines stuff.
Pretty sure he doesnt charge for upgrades
either. worth a look for those who find the
GM stuff a little over the top.

Cool patch ) 2:21
Added:
About new multioutput in v2, a bit tricky thing - instead expected 8 (per slot) outputs here 4 outputs, "busses" which assignable directly from seq line (B1-B4, or random out). And for activating separate bus, need in effect section enable "bus to aux" (arrow) button near to Amp slider.
Well ok not critical, just note.
Add2:
The only thing, in v1 there is button for disable sync with DAW ("global controls" panel, left side), and run sequencer without DAW transport, with freely adjustable bpm (and its automatable). That lot of fun. But in v2 it was removed (?).

Nothing, I just found some humor in that. I like to support them, but often can't resist
the cheap deals at PB. I have all the plugins, but they are split between GM and PB.
Updates can take some doing sometimes...
I did buy it tho, I had to get it from PB of course, because this isn't a world where I
can throw around $50 just because I like their stuff, sadly...
