Can you please make sure SM2 is installed as well.

Some presets use samples from SM2, and since most users had SM2 anyways, I did not include SM2 samples in SM3 setup to decrease setup file size.

SM3 can do DX/TX FM, but there are limitations to Operator feedback paths which make some of the SY77/99 AFM algorithms impossible at the moment.

Correct. To fix this issue, I might add some new oscillator types which implement multi operator feedback (like op1 -> op2, op2 -> op1 (fb)).

Also does it at least have the same fx as S2? Otherwise how would S2 presets be compatible?

I'd say keep SynthMaster 2 installed on your machine. It doesn't take up much space anyways: 1.36 GB only.

SynthMaster 3 is a direct successor of SynthMaster 2, so it has the same effects as SynthMaster 2.

Create an optional free soundpack: "SM3 Library Expansion - Factory SM2 Presets" for customers who want to use SM3 only (SM2 Installation Not Required).

P.S. Good job - SM3 is a very powerful nice sounding synth with friendly and intuitive user interface. Massive amount of included presets and good browser/preset manager makes it enjoyable to play.

not crazy about the idea of installing SM2, but... can i do that and turn it off in my DAW (in this case, logic)? so it's just there for it's resources...

EDIT: ok, with SM2 installed, am not getting those errors. hopefully, tho, at some point, SM3 will be self-contained; probably especially useful for new SM users who (for some odd reason), DON'T live on the kvr forums, and will be frantically emailing support.

I've installed the latest version of SM3 but Bitwig is unable to locate it. Please help!
