Why not? I just opened up EQ-73, EA-PA... I don't see any new functionality. I still see cramping in the high end when analyzing them. TR5 did port them... why?Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 7:22 pmT-RackS 6 Intro does not port your previous T-RackS processors.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 7:14 pm I have no idea how many processors I have. It's a lot. I have no idea how I'd even find that out without counting them in my DAW's plugin browser. I'm not that interested in doing that. If there's an easier way to find out, please let me know.
That said, with every IK release prior to this, and I'm assuming this one too, you don't lose any of your existing processors when a new version comes out. If you're using individual T-Racks plugins, I'd expect you can just download the new T-Racks CS version and get the ones you own updated for free. Nothing in the "new features/processors" list has any appeal to me whatsoever.

Are my T- RackS 4.x / 5.x plugins going to appear within T- RackS 6 or do I need to upgrade?
If you have purchased any modules for T-RackS previously, these will be available in the paid versions of T-RackS 6, T-RackS 6 PRO, and T-RackS 6 MAX immediately after authorization.
T-RackS 6 INTRO cannot load modules from past versions of T-RackS.
The free T-RackS 6 INTRO version includes 3X modules (Classic Equalizer, Classic Compressor, & Master Match X Lite Version), and is limited to loading T-RackS 6 modules*.
*This includes any single module purchased after the T-RackS 6 release on 9/5/24.
T-RackS 6 now available

T-Racks 5 would remember the plugin size after I resized a plugin and would apply that size to the rest of the plugins as a default size. T-racks 6 doesn't do this; every instance of the plugin opens to the default size regardless of how they are resized. That is disappointing.

if only this were true - I've purchased t-racks 6 max, it's showing installed and authorized in 'product manager' and showing all modules 'owned' in the new 'modules manager' app - but whenever I add any t-racks 6 plugin in my DAW ( or run the standalone mastering console app) it gives a pop-up saying I'm running in demo mode and have 7 days left before I must authorize ( if I tell it to authorize is fire up product manager, activation refreshes but no change back in the plugin/app )Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 7:20 pm This is a coupon, there's no annoying shop or buggy activation, you can install and authorize in a few clicks.
tried de-auth/re-auth, deinstall/reinstal etc etc - no change - thankfully tracks 5 still works....

I thought the v6 new additions looked interesting at first, but I wasn't that blown away.
So if you've got loads of TR5 plugs and you just want to update them to the v6 framework you've got to pay €100.

If you purchased it the minute before 6 came out, you must pay $99 to get the new version.TBlake wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 8:22 pmSorry to inform you that IK is not giving a grace period to those that bought a month ago let alone 3 months ago. I bought TS4 Max less than three months ago. Any grace period or other considerations, other than the fact that I now own TR5 Max v2 as part of the bundle? I do see the $99 offer when I go to the site, but I am more interested in some kind of grace period discount due to my recent purchase. Thank you

It's quite funny to me that those who bash IK use the term of "loyal customer" when they describe themselves, then immediately proceed to trash the company for basically not giving them everything for the cheapest possible price. Do people not understand what loyal means anymore? adjective: loyalPhilo999 wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 9:07 pm Saw this coming. A loyal customer is just someone for iK to exploit.
giving or showing firm and constant support or allegiance to a person or institution.
"loyal service"
Even if you own every other t-racks processor, t-Racks 6 gives you 8 new FX that seem to be pretty interesting in my opinion. So for $99 you get 8 new plugins, that's $12 per plugin. How is that exploitative exactly?
They pretty much gave away Total Studio 4 MAX and t-Racks 5 MAX v2 a few weeks ago at insanely low prices. And if you do the math for the $99 upgrade, I think that is more than fair for what seems to be a good collection of 8 brand new plugins. Bass ONE actually seems to be a real useful tool.

Here's the thing. You don't buy IK at any random time. You wait until they do some group buy thing where you end up paying a tiny amount for each plugin, and that's that. It's like they sort of pen you in to that sort of thing, or risk feeling like you got taken. Again, I literally had my employer buy 5 Max last week and there is no grace period. Why would I bother updating until there's a better deal? We all know it's going to come. Ignore it until it gets here.scatman84 wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 8:47 pm So I've been buying many many plugins over the years....
Right from the days of Sonik Synth, ST3, ST4 max, Miroslav, then TR5 max, then Total studio Max....even after buying all this "loyally" I don't get the discount???
Still gotta pay $199?? Just because I don't have TR5 Max v2?? Heartbreakreally...
How do you guys find out new ways to infuriate your loyal customers every freakin single time of a major release???
I feel I'm almost done with IKM now...
Don't wanna play this game anymore...
There are so many alternatives these days...

These are probably the most interesting and varied plugins IK has released for t-racks in a single update actually. More modern focused tools for a modern workflow it seems instead of just more analog emulations. Kudos to them for making new plugins that actually seem useful! I don't think we need another SSL Neve or whatever analog emulation. This is the way.
Will definitely be trying these out!

Yes. If you have 50+ T-RackS singles or T-RackS 5 MAX v2 you would be able to get the T-RackS 6 MAX upgrade for $/€100 off, putting it at 99.99 too just in case that is applicable in your situation.art&sound wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 11:00 pm Does the base $99 version, port all your existing modules or only the ones included? The language is unclear.
This FAQ explains which versions will work with your existing set of T-RackS modules: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/index.php?id=1517
Hope that helps.

That 99.99 upgrade offer to T-RackS 6 MAX is $100 off the upgrade price for any others so it is offering a half price options (or 1/3 of the price new users would pay) for that. Those who bought T-RackS 5 MAX v2 for 49.99 right before v6 came out can get everything for less than new users or users upgrading from a lesser/previous version. Their net spend needed to be less than the normal upgrade pricing, including the 49.99 paid for T-RackS 5 MAX v2.zerocrossing wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 10:57 pmIf you purchased it the minute before 6 came out, you must pay $99 to get the new version.TBlake wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2024 8:22 pmSorry to inform you that IK is not giving a grace period to those that bought a month ago let alone 3 months ago. Doesn't appear to be. This would have been a great opportunity for IK to make some AI-assisted DSP updates for more accurate modeling.
So if you just use T-RackS as plugins in your DAW, you're really not getting anything new from paying for the privilege to update your existing TR5 plugins, except for some minor GUI tweaks. You also lose VST2 support, if that matters to you.

I own Tracks 5 Max 2 there is no auto coupon added to the price when I checkout. I’m thinking I should qualify for the $99 price and also hoping I can add some jam points if allowed.
