Hello Everyone,
We have recently released version 17.01 of our plugins, which includes some minor changes. However, I would like to highlight the release of MPluginManager v01.10, which introduces a new offline installation feature. Previously, there were complaints that offline installation required two computers or was not possible when the computer was behind a firewall (e.g., in China). To address this, we have prepared offline installation data, which can be downloaded via a web browser here: https://www.meldaproduction.com/downloads/offline . You can find the link to these offline data also in the download section: https://www.meldaproduction.com/downloads
This offline installation data includes all plugin and instrument packages, as well as installers for both PC and Mac. Once you have installed MPluginManager v01.10 on the offline computer, the plugin update process is as follows:
1. Download and unzip the file to a folder on your computer.
2. Run MPluginManager and, under the "Offline Installation Settings" tab, locate the folder with the unzipped files by clicking the "Load offline installation data" button.
3. MPluginManager will then load the data, update itself if it finds a newer version of the installer, and update all installed packages if any are installed. If no plugin or instrument was installed previously, you can freely install them after the data is loaded.
That's all there is to it. Future updates on the offline computer will be straightforward. When new plugins are released, simply download and load the new extracted ZIP file, and everything will be updated automatically. There’s no need to manually select which plugins to install; all installed plugins and instruments will be updated automatically.
These offline installation data files (ZIP files) will be updated periodically as we release new changes, so this option will remain available going forward. You can still create an offline installation data folder via MPluginManager as before, with the added benefit that it can now also include your licenses and add-ons based on your selection.
Note: This new offline feature is already available in MPluginManager v01.09, but we recommend updating to v01.10 on the offline machine, as this version also supports self-updates for MPluginManager, ensuring you don't have to worry about future updates.

Thank you so much for this, Martin!! This renews my faith that Melda remains committed to reasonable copy protection that doesn’t punish the honest more than the pirates!
Melda Productiin indeed remains one of the good guys in the plugin business!
Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.

It refuses description, allowing only the vague approach of adjectives: dark, light, raw, angelic. Who or what is making these noises? Where are they coming from and what do they point to? What kind of entity can leave such a troubling sonic remnant?

The "Load offline installation data" button under the "Offline Installation Settings" tab is greyed out.
This is with MPluginManager 1.12
I have also tried a repair install
Any ideas?

This is because the machine where you want to load the data is online, or is not behind a firewall blocking communication with MeldaProduction servers. This feature was created for offline computers, therefore when you are online, it has no sense to load it, MPluginManager can download all the packages from the interner and button is intentionally greyed out.promidi wrote: Wed Sep 25, 2024 9:36 pm The "Load offline installation data" button under the "Offline Installation Settings" tab is greyed out.

How do we update from 17.00 to 17.01, I can't find the update button or am I doing this wrong?
I must say the Melda installer is a great step forward,
I am just unable to get to grips with the basic update,
sorry if I am being a bit dim!

If you are on v17.00, it should be as straightforward as running MPluginManager. It will detect the new packages and update them automatically. The computer must be online.SpongeLab wrote: Sun Oct 13, 2024 1:54 pm How do we update from 17.00 to 17.01, I can't find the update button or am I doing this wrong?

In case something goes wrong, I recommend always using the most current version of the installer. At this moment, it is 01.12, and you can download it here: https://www.meldaproduction.com/downloads.
If your machine is offline, you can perform an offline installation using the 17.01 offline pack from here: https://www.meldaproduction.com/downloads/offline.
