as far as i can see, there is a promo code that reduces the price to 99€ (plus VAT, if ... ) and you can use your Jam Points. so it should be 70 € without VAT, if you have 30 Jam Points. that's a great upgrade price, imo.

T-Racks 6 is out and when I add it to cart there's no special pricing or anything, it's 200 euro...I have T-Racks 5 Max. Welp.

Even then 99 Euro is still a lot...but then I signed up for this myself lol.

It adds 7 new processors. It'll probably go on sale in 2 months (Black Friday), or maybe you can get the new plugins during a group buy.

After checking it out via trial, I think it's actually a decent update. A new well-made preset browser/library (only complaint is you can't close it with "Command W" on Mac) and also the plugin ID's now don't have "TR5" in front of them, which makes the shortened names more readable (if you're using Logic).

The new processors are quite good. I do have to say, most of us who are used to T-Racks already probably have something which fills the gaps in the original TR toolbox, so I wouldn't say I personally need them. I haven't tried all of them, but Lofi Punch does offer kind of a new unique flavor in that territory, in some way complimentary to the likes RC-20. Channel Strip X is also great for a very quick workflow of adjusting the basics.

In terms of plugins/modules, it works in an interesting way. Basically, it still installs all the resources in a .pak file as all IK products usually do. I suppose they didn't change that because it's a fundamental part of their development framework, which would take too long to rewrite completely.

The "Module Manager" literally moves .vst/.vst3/.component files into their respective folders (through its' "Helper Tool", on macOS at least) which makes the end plugin "visible" aka enables it. If you disable a module, the plugin is moved out of the folder. The plugins themselves exist in the /Library/Application Support/IK Multimedia/T-RackS 6/Plug-Ins (on Mac) and that's where they get copied over to the plugin folders in the system.

Anyway, that's my little breakdown (if we can call it that) of TR6. Hope it's useful.

sorry for the misinformation. i haven't bought it yet, because i need some more pasta. 99€ or $ isn't bad anyway. people could buy TRacks5 Max2 for 50 bucks this summer. so you can get the whole bunch of stuff for 150 bucks. that's not too bad.
