Hello Juergen,

For the Novation launchkey MK3 script when in drum mode the pads do not update while adding sounds to the drummachine pads in bitwig, the colour of the launchkey pads stay greyed after adding a sample. Once the pad is pressed the colour will be taken over from Bitwig. Is this possible to change/correct, and immediately apply the clour to the Launchkey pad?
Or is it a limitation of the way the launchkey can be programmed?

That's a Bitwig bug.

Hello

First thanks for your work man.

I'm trying to replicate this behavior of the APC 40 MK2:

• Shift+Device Arrow left - Exit layer mode or a layer (“out”)
• Shift+Device Arrow right - Enter layer mode or enter a layer (“in”)

On a midi fighter twister with flexi, but I can't find those anywhere.
Is it possible ?

Many Thanks

I think there might be an error in the documentation. On page 89 Komplete Kontrol 3 S49, S61, S88 we are told to push main encoder up/down to toggle between volume/panorama with the 8 knobs. It should be Shift + Push Encoder up/down. I thought something was wrong until I watched your video on the MK3, and you said to shift and push. I do RTFM!

Jurgen..... thankyou for the AKAI Fire enhancements!!!

No, there is no such navigation. Instead you can directly assign the functions which are available in under "Layer".

Hey Jürgen, just circling back to (plead more about!!) the AKAI Fire, SHIFT mode as temporary (hold) instead of toggle.
I'm curious as to why the SHIFT mode works as a toggle now?
I don't understand the advantage of it working this way.
It seems it used to be a temporary (Hold) feature
Somewhere between v17 and v24.1.1 it became a toggle from what I can see in the videos
The manual still says "If you press the Shift button (and keep it pressed) the grid changes to the Shift mode."

My issue with the toggle for shift mode is that nearly every time you use a shift function you end up in the shift mode. You then have to press SHIFT again to exit. It happens when you:
- Toggle Accent on/off
- Cycle quantisation settings
- Make fine adjustments with knobs and shift in mixer mode
- Make fine adjustments with knobs and shift in user1 & 2 modes
- Use browser to add a device before selected
- Move a pattern left or right in drum mode
- Change scale
- Scroll param banks
- Changing banks in reverse eg: user2 to user1

I know you said above there were too many implications to change the ALT and SHIFT buttons, so I will live with if that is the case but if it was possible to just make the SHIFT mode HOLD instead of toggle it would alleviate the above.

Alternatively, I notice SHIFT is activated on release (not press) so perhaps it would be possible to negate shift being activated on release if other buttons or knobs were touched? This does seem to work in some places already like if you are in Perform mode and you use SHIFT + Perform to switch between session view and birds eye view.

It is used now for alternative clips starts.

I'm not sure I follow how that's connected with the SHIFT mode? Alternative clip starts, isn't that ALT+Pad?

Hi on the latest script for the Akai Fire. IN channel mode pressing alt and turning select knob only switches tracks in one direction. not sure if track selection works in other modes like mixer or user 1 and 2 .

ALT+Select knob Seems to be working fine for me in Channel and Mixer Mode

ALT+Select knob in
User1 Mode scrolls devices L&R
User2 Mode switches between Project and Track remotes
