How do I change fret position?

Hi, I've been using Ample Guitar Martin for years, but I want to improve and start making more complex songs but I know having played guitar myself that it's important to get the right note on the right type of string.
This bought a brand new issue to the VST. Capo only changes notes, not functions the way it should.
I've tried looking in parameters for a setting, but none exist. This is the only guitar VST I've used that lacks a fret position functionality. I'm thinking if I want to write a solo and I want it to take place on the G and B string, it won't be possible because there's no fret positioning.

Don't use capo force. The function for this is called string force. It is mentioned in the manual.

Thanks, that's a good enough solution I suppose. More complicated though for playing scales, it makes it significantly harder and less natural to write. I use other VST's like Shreddage and Heavier7strings which have a fret position option that works 90% of the time.

The string force works 100% of the time...Just type in the actual notes you want and under each, use the keyswitch for whichever string you need that note played on. How are you programming your midi (in your DAWs piano roll or in Amples riffer)?

Then input the actual midi notes you need played and then input the keyswitch notes underneath (just make sure the keyswitches start slightly before the midi notes so that they trigger being on specific strings).
