Presets store sfz text, BUT not the samples. However, I am going to add a new menu item under "Save preset" menu, called "Save preset with samples". When user clicks on that one, if the preset contains user samples, they will be saved inside an archive file, which has the same name as the preset. Such as:audiojunkie wrote: Fri Sep 20, 2024 3:49 pm Do the presets store everything, including the SFZ files? If not, would it be possible to have an "Archival preset" that saves everything in a patch as an option? There are so many times when I share or receive presets, and vital things are missing. I understand that the size could become quite large, but for archival purposes, it would be very helpful.
My preset.smpr -> preset file
My preset.smar -> archive file.

Yes! Yes! Perfect for sharing and not losing parts of a preset! And when importing the preset, it unarchives it to a normal preset that includes everything needed for the preset, right?kv331 wrote: Fri Sep 20, 2024 5:06 pmPresets store sfz text, BUT not the samples. No, it will read the samples from the archive file. But I can let the user extract the archive as well. This request came from my sound designers as well, especilly BigTone (@Brok Landers)audiojunkie wrote: Fri Sep 20, 2024 5:12 pm Yes! Yes! Perfect for sharing and not losing parts of a preset! so... can i uninstall SM2 and not lose anything? ...kv331 wrote: Fri Sep 20, 2024 4:56 pmYep! No more SynthMaster One or 2audiojunkie wrote: Fri Sep 20, 2024 3:53 pm So, with the expansions (Synthmaster 2, Synthmaster One), we don't have to install Synthmaster 2 and Synthmaster One anymore, correct?![]()
(We stopped selling SynthMaster 2 by the way as it is preceded by SynthMaster 3. We will still support it though)

Yep. I made by tests without SM1 and SM2 installed.
Don't delete your own presets of course, if you have any. There should be located under

Hi, SM3 crashes on my system (VST2, Windows 10) in "sample slice" mode:kv331 wrote: Fri Sep 20, 2024 3:18 pm It's update time for SynthMaster 3: We reached version 3.0.3. Please check for updates inside the plugin to download the update setup!
1. Mode: User, change sensitivity to low/lowest = crash
--- ---
2. Mode: Grid, change grid to 1/8 or 1/16 = crash
--- ---
Also, it seems that "fade in" and "fade out" doesn't make any audible changes.

It crashed a new install of the latest version of SM3 and I had just uninstalled SM2 also. It was downloading banks from the site when it happened while the UI was open (VST2). I'm using Cakewalk and using Windows 11.
I wasn't sure if those were the banks of presets from the Everything collection, but when it prompted me to download and install them, I clicked Yes. It was working for a while and then just froze up.
EDIT: It seems to be working ok now, not sure what happened earlier.
The QWERTY keyboard option doesn't work from my PC keyboard. I use Cakewalk, so maybe it's the way the focus works in that DAW.
Also is there a way to add previews in the browser for some banks that don't have them yet?

BTW, does anyone know if SynthMaster supports DFD (Direct From Disk) for samples? I'm thinking, in particular about large SFZ files-- 2+GB in size.....

When clicking on the preset-name, there missing some points in the menu.
For example:
Sync my presets with cloud
Download presets from Public User Library
Templates
Once I test them properly, I will enable them again. Hopefuly next week
Again not enable in version 3.0.3 rev 15538
Perhaps in the next update?

I know it might be a bit too early to "complain" about non-critical issues, rather than actual bugs, but I'll take the risk anyway. Maybe my comments/suggestions will at least make it to the backlog and eventually get implemented.
1. The use of the mouse scroll wheel for selecting (waveform, preset, etc.) is a great and convenient idea. However, this can cause issues for us Apple Magic Mouse users. The thing is, we don't have a physical scroll wheel, and the entire mouse surface is sensitive to "scrolling," which sometimes leads to accidental scroll triggers. I've lost custom waveforms that I spent tens of minutes adjusting simply by accidentally scrolling. My suggestion to address this would be to add an option in the settings to disable this behavior (the simplest solution), but a more appropriate fix could be adding a keyboard modifier (cmd, option, control, etc.), ideally allowing the user to set a custom one.
2. The second issue I encountered is scroll inertia, which is enabled by default on Mac. As a result, it’s quite challenging to precisely and carefully switch between waveforms and presets. I’m not sure how to solve this, but for example, in Minecraft, there’s an option for discrete scrolling, which apparently works better than without that option.
3. The routing view. Honestly, it’s painful. First, it's the only part of the interface that lags heavily. The modules move slowly, and there is noticeable lag when dragging them. The small circles that appear to connect nodes also lag, making it hard to quickly and accurately connect nodes. I found myself trying to spend as little time as possible in the routing view, which probably isn’t ideal. Also, I wasn’t able to find a way to scroll through the nodes or zoom the view, etc. With 3-4 oscillators, 5-7 filters, and waveshapers, working with the routing becomes a nightmare. If necessary, I can record a video showing how the routing performs on my computer.
4. Why is it not possible to input precise values using the keyboard? Yes, I know it's possible to hold shift to slow down mouse adjustments, but sometimes that's not enough, and it would be much faster and more accurate to simply input the value directly rather than trying to fine-tune it with the mouse. And by the way, it’s not always easy to get the exact number with the mouse.
I’ve been with SynthMaster for many years now, and I really love SM3 for its flexibility and sound. I’m happy to help make it even better.
My setup: Mac Studio M1 Ultra 64GB, Reaper.

I haven't fully tested direct from disk feature yet, although I implemented it for wav/aif files. I might add a separate Sample oscillator type which enabled direct from disk streaming.audiojunkie wrote: Fri Sep 20, 2024 10:30 pm BTW, does anyone know if SynthMaster supports DFD (Direct From Disk) for samples?
