Thank you for your manifesto. Please be assured that it will be reviewed properly, as befits such missives. Im glad that you can reconcile this outrage at voice AIs with your choice of other such tools, such as text generators; the consistency of approach is much needed in the modern world, where humans are suddenly leveraging computerised tools to assist in their practices.

I doubt that IA corps have permission from so many vocalists to copy their voices.

Many Ai tools are promoting & normalising unethical behaviour & practices.
Many politicians are promoting & normalising unethical behaviour and practices.
May be the one area in which trickle-down theory actually applies.

How many artists would happily use samples of older tracks without any credit if they could get away with it ?
I'm not saying that tech giants (hint: it's not just the giants, it's the 'entrepreneurial' spirit) are not doing 'unethical' things - they do every day, and people just don't see it as obviously, but what you're looking at is human nature and the lure of 'free'.
It seems it's unethical to steal from the hidden folk, but less so as the target becomes more famous - but then you just have to worry about 'law' rather than ethics, right ?
Yes, using anything from anyone without consent is unethical. AI is absolutely bringing this to the forefront. However, it's not new - it's just easier and more visible.

Please note that by sending me any further unsolicited PMs, you will be agreeing that those PMs you send will be considered suitable for public reposting.
(And now back to the 'AI is teh suck' wailing and gnashing of teeth)
