XLN never updates XO, so I sold it. I bought Atlas 2 instead (great sequencer and frequent updates!). I also bought Sononym (for deep sample finds on my hard drives). Killer combo!wayford wrote: Sun Sep 22, 2024 12:58 pmEDIT: Scratch all that! XO is $40, not $49 for me. Insane.
I wonder if there's a v2 of it planned soon? Otherwise that really is an all time low price.
Then we have Triaz, which I was always curious about, but it's twice the price of XO right now and I believe it doesn't have the same sample map/AI matching to the same extent.

I trialed Atlas pretty recently, going back to it right now.panspOrmia wrote: Sun Sep 22, 2024 2:38 pm XLN never updates XO, so I sold it. I bought Atlas 2 instead (great sequencer and frequent updates!). I also bought Sononym (for deep sample finds on my hard drives). Killer combo!
Atlas froze when it tried to create a map out of my samples, wasn't the best first experience. Trying to do the same right now, hopefully it works.
The AI sample matching isn't as robust as it is in XO. The map is also a bit strange to me. In XO you browse samples by holding down the mouse and dragging it through the map. In Atlas the samples are automatically played when you hover over them, which means if you want to go back you'll hear a lot of other samples you didn't want to hear. There's also no search history bar as in XO, which makes it easier to go back to a previous sample you heard.
No EQing options (sometimes useful, Atlas only has filtering), no transient editing, no built-in haas effect (once again, useful when you need it). You can also create a drum kit with your samples and then it gives several different options with matching sounds for the whole kit.
Both are great and I can understand why someone would pick Atlas, but XO feels like it was almost engineered for me. It's straightforward and I never thought about opening the manual.
With Sononym, I have never used it tbh, I use Samplism. It's Mac-only, but really good.

Doh, in the end I wound up uninstalling the moog mariana rather than buying it. Ultimately i wasn't interested in it enough to justify the high cpu on my system.
I did get the saturator for $10

Does anybody (especially German people) have experience with FOREVER ROCK?
Is it legit'?

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Does anyone still have a Reason Studios voucher? Supposedly it was awarded to early upgraders to Reason 13. I’m happy to swap it for something or make a small contribution. If you have one, just shoot me a message. Thanks!

Question about this. I've been looking to get a new sample manager for awhile now. I just want something to scan all my samples and allow me to browse them in context to a track playing and realtime export to the track in correct key. Iwas happy with Loopmaster over the years up to v5. After that changes worsened the functions and now its sub only. I went in for a sub last year but dont see $79 a year for this. Tried ADSR and the updated Waves Cosmos (PC user here). Ive seen XO but is this a product that would do what I want?. Anything else youve used come to mind?LoveEnigma18 wrote: Sun Sep 22, 2024 2:10 pmCool. I saw it 34 EUR or something so I wondered how come $49, but it was still low enough to comment on the price.wayford wrote: Sun Sep 22, 2024 12:58 pmEDIT: Scratch all that! XO is $40, not $49 for me. Yeah, we all have been waiting for XO V2 for a long time now, but it may finally hopefully be around the corner.
Triaz is great too, but I find it's UI a bit difficult to get around with. Better to wait for a sale on Triaz. Their new library Drift is awesome though.

Did you mean Loopcloud? If so, it's 50% off an annual sub right now with 2 months extra for free. Works out at £59.99 (~80 USD) for 14 months, and you get Arturia Tape Delay as a gift this month.Kurdish Mayfield wrote: Mon Sep 23, 2024 6:34 pm
