Also; what can HZ The Legend do that HZ The Zebra Legacy can't? If anything?

Sound identical to a minimoog (in as much as software can) ?

I thought the UAD moog sounded very much like a real moog.

This legend HZ sounds more like a mood that's been recorded well and has nice FX applied. The sum of its parts is really very good.

The UAD does sound better, especially when doing more extreme stuff. It does feedback really well for software, but the down side is it’s monophonic, but that never held back the OG Model D.

I don’t really think of The Legend, and especially the HZ variant, as Model D emulations as much as I think of them as modern Moog polyphonic synths.

Legend HZ just sounds better then Zebra HZ, higher resolution sounds very much hearable at higher register. Frequency modulation is just so much better and cleaner sounding, try to modulate 3 detuned oscillators with noise and do same with Zebra HZ, the sound difference is just like day and night. Ofcourse with Zebra HZ you can get sounds due to its features that you cant with Legend HZ. But personally i get more sounds i like/prefer with Legend HZ then with Zebra HZ. Higher resolution sound and thickness for me let alone worth more then Zebra sound. In fact i used Legend OG more then Zebra in 5 years period.

I remember Richard granting licenses for the RE versions of Obsession and The Legend for owners of said plugins in the past...
I have them. (would never had bought them since I own the plugins anyway )

[TANGENT] Back in the 70s day AFAIK he didn't use any Moogs, though I'm sure he has at some point in the last 5 decades.

But he certainly had a lot of analog synths that drifted like nobody's fat business. I got hold of a copy of the original live radio broadcast of his legendary Concerts In China... it didn't sound much like the (wonderful) record. Tuning all those oscillators with a fluctuating power supply - gadzooks. [/TANGENT]

It was a Memorymoog (from 1:32).

I bought many DVDs with recordings of his concerts in China, in China, but lost track of them during a tumultous break-up and I think I moved away from them... Lost forever, like tears in the rain.

Smart man, I give Dune the edge for flexibility. But the Legend HZ is top tier as well.

Damn it, but this synth sounds amazing. Demoing it and just fat, lush, characterful, all the synth superlatives, dare I say creamy even Do I need it already owning Monark and the Arturia one...yes, I do. Made this juicy, rich bassline pluck. Just beautiful. Sounds better than Diva even (gasps ).

Do Synpapse ever have sales? In Aud, it's almost $300- almost the same as Falcon. I mean, it does sound fantastic but I baulk at that price. So...Black Friday??
