Are we moving goals posts now? I'm sure once the fades are made, they will be constantly visible. That's what I would assume from a proper design choice.
But many of the other design choices introduced in 7 throw your assumption of “proper” into question.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

No, they don't - only in your narrow-minded head where assumptions are forged that are far removed from anything one might justifiably call "reality"...

It looks fine from what i can see from the leaked photo.

Stem separation doesn't win me. Having surveyed the landscape earlier this year, I expect another bog standard implementation of spleeter. Maybe in a few iterations, when they incorporate feedback and find ways to integrate more to the workflow of S1, it'll be worth re-examining. Maybe. More instruments in Studio One, not going to win me. More effects, definitely won't sell me. New pricing model already lost me. Studio One 6.6 for evah!

But in genres that are meant to more or less present a live continuous performance, you want splices to be seamless. I figured all of this was a given.

But Jens never misses an opportunity to project.
It gets tiring after a while, doesn't it?

This is where these DAW developers get you. They deliberately withhold a feature they know should obviously be implemented (the ability to add a clip to a scene without stopping) to guarantee users will upgrade once said feature gets implemented. It's not "live looping" if one has to a stop a scene when adding a clip.

Looks a very good update, could be the only DAW you need (no more linear DAW + live or Bitwig), nothing removed, just more options.
Most exciting S1 update for some time, looks great as well IMO.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

They should have made an upgrade plan, that the Pro users benefit more. You should not slap your best customer in the face.
artie fichelle sounds natural

That video looks like it was made by someone who has no idea about DAWs or clips. I guess the rush to leak info is real.
