DIVA request: legato glide that retriggers envelope

On pretty much every mono synth patch I play, I want the filter / amp envelope to retrigger with every new note, whether the notes are connected via legato or not. However, I ONLY want glide to happen on legato notes. This is actually super important for me, with the way I play.

It's possible to do this in Repro 1. Can we get it in DIVA, as an option, please?

(Repro 5 would also be nice, although I do understand it would be a slight departure from the source model ... but I think it would be perfectly fine to put it behind the scenes in the "tweaks" view)

This is still a need for Diva to add. I am currently working on a song where the synth patch needs this legato glide envelope retriggering behavior to "work," and I would love to use Diva... but I can't because it's lacking this feature.

Sure! Here are a couple:

My song Orbit has a main synth lead line that makes use of the distinction between glide vs straight notes (you can hear it starting around 1 minute in).

I also did a Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening music cover where I made heavy use of this technique in my playing as I tried to make it as expressive as possible

In both of those cases, you can clearly hear how I need to be able to control when glide happens via legato. The effect would be destroyed if glide was all or nothing.

You may say, "But Diva can do that already," BUT the key point here is that I also need to be able to separately decide whether the envelopes retrigger via legato or not. Like on the Matriarch that I'm playing there, there's a dedicated button for that (they called it "multi trig"). And it's entirely separate from the legato glide setting.

I almost always have envelopes set to retrigger no matter what, but glide to only happen on legato. It's essential for my lead playing style. But it's not possible with Diva currently.

My suggestion for Diva would be for the current "mono" vs "mono legato" mode setting to control only the envelope retriggering. And then put a new box above "glide mode" where you can choose "always" and "legato" for when glide triggers.

Having this feature is crucial for one of my main synth patches (which I also play live). I am currently using NI Razor in Reaktor 6 and wanted to switch to Diva, but it's not possible to translate it without separate control for glide and filter envelopes when playing legato notes. Seems like I need to keep using Razor for now... :/

Exactly! It's such a benefit for playing expressively, which is great in live contexts. Or even when you're just jamming in the studio.

By the way, I took a few minutes and mocked up what I was describing in my previous comment (notice the "GlideMode" area):
