Thank you for such a simple inspiring toolset at a very reasonable price! I think I can use some tricks with Reaper's FX container/parallel processing features to create some bass guitar magic in the meantime. I'm still going to cross my fingers for a dedicated bass plug or presets though, so hopefully soon you'll be able to make that a reality!
Thanks!
Thanks!

Bass is my main instrument also ....so couldnt resist using Primo as a bass amp . I imported some bass cab IRs. Dissabled the hp filter. Set eq accordingly. It works great on the clean chnl. The three band eq is catered a bit more for guitar but it stays out of the way. The od again isnt perfect fe bass but if you bend the plugin as a whoe with direct you get some very usable sounds.

Hey there, I'm loving Primo, and thank you for the funky preset to play with as well!apfx_audio wrote: Sun Sep 08, 2024 3:26 pm Hi guys! We are really happy you are enjoying PRIMO! We have released several updates in the past, following the feedbacks of our users, so comments, feedbacks and suggestions are always welcome!
...
I do have a feature request - unless there's already a knob I'm overlooking. I'd like to be able to get some nasty sputtering velcro dying battery voltage starve sounds from Primo if possible. Something you'd hear on a Jack White song or like the tone on for instance.
What do you think?
[edit] I realize this is probably outside the scope of this particular plugin, but hey, you asked for suggestions!

I was about to purchase it, but the checkout page says it includes €5.39 in taxes (without stating a reason/calculation no less).
Maybe that's a bit OCD, by I'm simply not gonna pay Italian taxes when I live in Switzerland. Details like this matter to me.

I've had this for about six weeks now, after demoing with the intention of convincing myself that I don't need to buy it -- and failing dramatically at that last point. It's the ampsim that I'm going to first for plug & play fun. It sounds great -- I actually think it rivals its best competitors, and at a fraction of the cost and the CPU overhead. Plus, importantly, it starts up pretty much instantly.
If the devs are reading this, I'd like to request additional controls for the reverb. I understand the notion of wanting to keep things simple, but I'd like to use this plugin for recording (since it uses so much less CPU than the other ampsims I record with) and the one-knob reverb doesn't provide enough control for that. It sounds good and is adjustable enough for just picking up and playing, but for recording I think that the minimum controls needed are separate wet/dry mix, decay time, and HP/LP. Thanks! I'll be looking for what's next, and (like others) I'd be excited for a bass amp sim!

Hi @masonsjax and @Immanencer, thank you for your feedbacks, we are working on PRIMO and on other products, and these feedbacks are super important for us!
@jens, unfortunately is not up to us, we are required by law to collect VAT. We have set a very competitive price which is the same everywhere in the world, and we do not charge anything more or less on the customer in different countries.

I don't think it could be more reasonably priced !apfx_audio wrote: Thu Nov 07, 2024 10:17 pm Hi @masonsjax and @Immanencer, thank you for your feedbacks, we are working on PRIMO and on other products, and these feedbacks are super important for us!

Just to muscle in here, my own suggestion regarding guitar software would be for more options for the acoustic guitar players among us ( something to enhance piezos maybe)

I purchased it anyway, but I don't think this can be right.apfx_audio wrote: Thu Nov 07, 2024 10:17 pm @jens, unfortunately is not up to us, we are required by law to collect VAT.
Sknote, Hornet, Audiority, etc. - none of them collect VAT in my case - also I find it hard to believe the law in Italy (which is part of the EU after all) would be (allowed to) be different in this regard as compared to its neighbours. (Of course you have to collect VAT, but only for EU residents, which I am not.)
Actually I think au contraire it's unlawful for you to collect VAT from non-EU citizens - which was my point.
Edit:
https://europa.eu/youreurope/business/t ... ellgoods-1
Selling goods to customers outside the EU
If you sell goods to customers outside the EU, you do not charge VAT. However, you may still deduct the VAT that you paid on related expenses, such as for goods or services purchased specifically to make those sales.
