FWIW, I’ve been on Push beta for over a year and the section was always named Ableton HW.ozinga wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2024 5:07 pm Push Page on Beta Centercode is now Ableton HW. So a new hardware for sure.
If I had to guess, I’d go with a smaller and portable Push (4x4), focusing on MPE. Those pads are simply too good, if Ableton manages to keep the cost down they could probably capture a sizable share of the market.

Should've called it Ableton Pull. Or maybe Shove.

There *is* that 8 bit font for the logo so *maybe* it could be some joystick/gamepad type of controller which would be fun.
Especially if it is.modular and could be expanded upon so one can create their own customized "faderfox" device.

Could be. Except Push already has all the Ableton Live controls covered, more or less. Even if Move were a more fleshed out focus on fader and knob control, seems like it would be doubling up on something already there. Unless they were looking to have more of an entry level hardware control for Live, seeing as the current low price for the Push is $1000. I could see it being a multitrack control system with clip launching, sort of like what Akai has with the APC Mini mk2. If it's only for faders and macros though, and no clip launching, I'm not sure there will be much appeal in that.

I have a feeling it's going to be a 16 4x4 pad controller similar to Maschine . Musicians and beat makers that are Maschine users are pissed at Native Instruments because they have NOT updated the Maschine software for awhile . They are pissed . So I'm thinking 16 4x4 pad controller that has MPE and some other stuff . I have a Launchpad X , I feel the Push3 is too much for me , where the Launchpad X is very simple . I'm not even remotely interested in the Launchpad Pro or Push3 . My other guess with the 8bit font would be a lighter version (Push3 standalone version ex .)Linux and also Mac , Windows , iOS version of Live that runs on a Steam Deck ,iPhone , Android . Etc etc .

Whatever it is it would be nice if it had replaceable parts.
Same for Push.
What if a pad or knob ends up failing or accidentally gets banged up?
What if my dog eats a.knob??
Replaceable parts Abelton!

I found this on a Redit thread. Same form factor as a PUSH makes sense

IIRC, this was from an old Push 3 speculation thread, since debunked.SLiC wrote: Mon Sep 30, 2024 5:15 pm I found this on a Redit thread. Same form factor as a PUSH makes sense

My money is on portable hardware running Ableton Note natively, with some pads for input, and maybe some kid of accelerometer as an interesting mechanic; something like the Polyend mini - handheld. "Move" implies something portable or kinetic, and has others have noted, the lo-res font for the logo could point to a lo-res screen on the device.
I could be wrong, and often are.
