I did manage to find some Fairlight samples (for personal use only of course) and they are in WAV format. I tried loading that famous vocal-like sound (heard on many recordings) and I can hear it play when I press keys, but it doesn't show the waveform on the edit screen to set loop points.
I can see it on the main SM3 screen, just not to edit those loop points on the edit screen.

By default, the group is selected, please click on the region to select the region (I will change this behavior so that the first region in the first group is selected by default)

By the way, I have accumulated a number of questions/bugs/comments/suggestions regarding the sample editor. I don’t want to clutter this thread, and things could quickly get buried in the history and lost. What would be the best way to proceed?

I bought the everything bundle, and my last three attempts to ask extremely simple basic questions have been completely ignored, whilst every other post after mine about much more advanced features gets answered and discussed. I'm trying not to take it personally, but it's hard not to, as it seems to be only me you're ignoring.

It's not technical support though. It's a discussion of a missing feature of the synth. And why should I start a ticket when other users are being answered here just fine?
But thanks for confirming my posts can actually been seen. I was beginning to think there was something wrong with my forum account.

One thing you asked about was Fill Octave. Do you mean like this?-Neb- wrote: Sat Sep 28, 2024 1:12 pm I bought the everything bundle, and my last three attempts to ask extremely simple basic questions have been completely ignored, whilst every other post after mine about much more advanced features gets answered and discussed. In SM3 it's just colours showing you the scale; you can still play chromatically.
In SM1 however, the keys only played notes from that scale, via a 'fill oct' a button where the 'panic' button is in your screenshot. I can't remember if it exists in SM2 - I preferred to use SM1 most of the time.
As a non-keyboard player, I found that feature fantastically useful. I could probably set up my controller and DAW to do it, but being able to switch it on in the actual synth I'm using with a click of a mouse is brilliant.
So, yes, I'm wondering if this feature will ever make it into SM3.
Thank you both for helping.

I noticed today if I use an effect on the Layer FX in the Mix view, such as reverb, and then I click on the Tab view with that effect still open, the window for the effect is still sitting there on top of the Tab view and I can't move it.
I can close it, and sometimes I might not mind it there, but it's just that it's stuck there in the way of other Tab view settings.

Attention! It seems that you accidentally applied the Shift modifier for selecting waveforms with a regular mouse (clicking instead of scrolling). In build 15544, it now requires holding Shift to select with the < and > buttons when clicking. I doubt this is the desired behavior. =)kv331 wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2024 8:34 amHi theregussent wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2024 8:14 am 1. The use of the mouse scroll wheel for selecting (waveform, preset, etc.) is a great and convenient idea. However, this can cause issues for us Apple Magic Mouse users. The thing is, we don't have a physical scroll wheel, and the entire mouse surface is sensitive to "scrolling," which sometimes leads to accidental scroll triggers. I've lost custom waveforms that I spent tens of minutes adjusting simply by accidentally scrolling. My suggestion to address this would be to add an option in the settings to disable this behavior (the simplest solution), but a more appropriate fix could be adding a keyboard modifier (cmd, option, control, etc.), ideally allowing the user to set a custom one.
This issue is now fixed in yesterday's update (15544)
To scroll through waveforms / wavetables / samples, user should press Shift when using the mouse scroll wheel.
I am going to go through the other issues you reported as well. one by one
Cheers

Does this install all expansions in the installer now or do you still need to download them from the plugin browser (which I can't see how to do)?

I have most of the expansions and they show up for me, so maybe try what Bulent mentions above.kv331 wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2024 5:09 pmYes, that is correctbilrobins wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2024 4:48 pm Hi - if I understand correctly the patches for Synthmaster 2 and Synthmaster One are now available as expansion packs that can be installed in Synthmaster 3 without having to install SM2 and SMOne. If this is correct, where are these expansion files located and how do you install them?![]()
All you have to do is:
Click on the preset name on the top header, then click on "restore my preset banks" menu:

You should do it inside the plugin window:aMUSEd wrote: Sat Sep 28, 2024 3:30 pm Does this install all expansions in the installer now or do you still need to download them from the plugin browser (which I can't see how to do)?
