Auburn Sounds releases Graillon 3 — Pitch Correction effect

Auburn Sounds has announced the availability of Graillon 3, a pitch correction and vocal multi-effect (VST, AU, AAX, LV2).

Graillon 3 has 3 "Pitch Engines" that affect detection, correction, shifting, and PTM.

• G2 engine keeps the original Graillon 2 algorithm.
• G3 engine is a bit better in all directions, see Blog.
• I1 engine is much like G3, but instead uses the INNER PITCH pitch-shifter algorithm.

Note that when using the INNER PITCH engine (I1), Graillon is no longer cheap in CPU. But in G2 and G3, speed is the same as Graillon 2, even in the presence of the effects. In most of the cases, you will use G3.

According to Auburn Sounds:

Professional vocals need a number of effects, and we wanted to make that more straightforward.

And indeed it's a lot easier to quickly incorporate "industry-standard" vocals in your tracks in a few clicks, and for that purpose all effects were made one-knob.

More seriously, is it a new plugin ID, or does it replace previous Graillon instances in old sessions ?
Before demoing the free version, I need to know how it will behave with old sessions containing Graillon 2...

I don't use Graillon often, but each time I do it sounds better than any other alternative. And the improved features look great... Good job !

It is a new plugin ID since the saves are incompatible.

For old sessions to open, install the old Graillon.

We want people that are accustomed to the old UI to be able to use both, at least for a while.
You can still download the 2.x version and use concurrently but they won't be updated with the times, you have some time to get to know the new UI. In short, don't make new songs with Graillon 2. That's why the G2 mode exist, to give you no reason to complain.
