A little scared to click that button for fear I'm just giving them 50 bucks right away.
Hey shatteredmindofbob, as long as you haven't already signed up for a membership in the past, you should have no problems. If something does come up don't hesitate to reach out and we can help you solve it!
Trancer wrote: Tue Oct 01, 2024 8:22 pm Question about the Cloud and Jupiter X.

Using the Galaxies, as it has four parts just like the Jupiter X, the latter having a ryhtmique part in addition, I can make stacking with the Galaxies and realize a kind of scene with four layers.

The big difference between the scenes is that in the Juptier X there are 512 available programmed, ready to use, whereas in the Galaxies, I have to compose them myself so well understood?

Is it really worth investing in the Jupiter X or is the Galaxies more interesting?

Thank you in advance for your answers.
Hey Trancer! GALAXIAS has a ton of scene presets already installed. By clicking the top center of the screen where it says "INIT SCENE" a window will open up and from there you can search through a ton of different scene packs! Let me know if you still need help with this.

Thank you very much for your response.

I’ll go check that, thank you.

Regarding the Jupiter X, Can you tell me if it has 512 pre loaded scenes and 512 users scenes?

Thank you again.

It seems a little odd to promote this to people who aren't eligible for the promotion.

So today I figure, hm, maybe the "CHANGE NOW" button will go away and I'll get a coupon code field if I cancel my Core subscription. Nope, now everything is greyed out or "UNAVAILABLE." I'm not even allowed to pay for higher tiers.

Everything about the way they market the Cloud is odd

lIke how long term subscribers never get anything, which leads to frustration and people cancelling

For example if you pay for a year in advance during play for life you get two free lifetime keys for $199

If you subscribe for a year every month you pay Roland $239.88 and get nothing

Then there is fact that the lifetime keys only have value of you cancel the subscription, which makes no sense if you are trying to sell subscriptions. Roland Cloud is literally rewarding you and making it easier to cancel and not give them another dime

Yeah, and I got the code even though I did have a subscription in the past.

Hey Jon why not just offer it to everyone? You might even sell a bunch of product from those who have subscribed in the past but given up

Do you not want to try to win back some of the 2 million people who have a cloud account but are not among the 30,000 people without an active subscription?

This is the kind of thing that really drives customers away

Caine123 wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2024 8:27 pm Question. If you buy just ZENOLOGY PRO, can you upgrade to the COLLECTION?
does Zenology Pro get on sale?
Hey Caine123, Its always worth reaching out to customer support in these situations. They could be able to help you over there!
I got info now that this is not possible at all. Jon please check this cause this is just not well at all for customers.

a) you cannot upgrade to the Pro Collection, you are stuck and need the Cloud to use the additional soundpacks or you buy the pro pack and dont get any discount at all for having Zenology Pro already.

b) $599 is not cheap, if you check Omnisphere and many other packages they are cheaper and offer more. yeah i want the old authentic sounds which is only in Zenology Pro, still who does these prices?

c) it seems the Pro Collection never gets on sale....

this is really bad, i considered to get Zenology Pro first and to upgrade later maybe, but yeah this is just bad.

thx

Hm? I'm not sure if this is exclusive to us with a presence on Bandcamp, but the email we got states:

"And the good news—this offer is available for all previous Roland Cloud trial holders, thanks to Bandcamp!"

They might mean those who took out a trial but didn't convert to paid and then lapsed.

I haven't tried it: it's possible there isn't an exclusion for previous subscribers in practice.

Ah maybe that's what they meant. Anyhow, it did work fine for my studio partner who has had previous subscription - though he did have to give his Bandcamp URL when signing up so maybe it's exclusive to each artist.

Hey Jon, any progress about this on M1 Max? It's been a year..
Just a single instance of XV5080.
I am not playing anything by the way.

It wouldn't surprise me but what a boneheaded move. What a way to alienate people you want to make your paying customers again
