PreSonus Studio One 7 apparently imminent

I HOPE, <but don't think so> they update Sample One, yesterday I tried to play a 808 sample through it with glide on, pops and clicks, sounds like shit when it glides, audio cuts short somehow...
Tons of problems with it. I hate to use 3rd party samplers for easy stuff.

Until the launch event it's all speculation but this is the best we have at the moment and is credible even if it isn't confirmed.xbitz wrote: Thu Oct 03, 2024 9:57 am Stem Separation: Enhanced tools for isolating sounds, allowing more control in mixing and editing.
Detachable Browser: Designed for multi-monitor setups, the browser can be moved to different screens.
Clip Launcher: A new addition aimed at improving live performance workflows and creative sequencing.
Support for CLAP Plugin Format: Adding flexibility for more types of audio plugins.
Integrated Splice Support: This makes it easier to access loops, samples, and other content from Splice directly within Studio One.
Spatial Audio Monitoring: With support for Apple Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos, you can monitor immersive mixes directly in Studio One.
ProEQ3 and OpenAIR2 Updates: Advanced EQ and convolution reverb tools are now enhanced for more precise sound shaping, including immersive audio support.
Multiple Major Releases Per Year: PreSonus is shifting to a faster feature release cycle, providing regular updates instead of waiting for major numbered releases.
Honestly this list is perfect for me because there is absolutely nothing in there that I want or need. So I can just stick with 6 until they either introduce a feature that is in some way helpful or improve something currently available which could work better (like being able to add a channel to a folder in the mixer view without having to create an automation track and doing it in track view!).
So, all or nothing suits me at the moment and if this list is accurate there is literally nothing of interest for me.

Preach. If these work well together this is going to be arrangement heaven for my adhdxbitz wrote: Thu Oct 03, 2024 12:43 pm I don't care what happens, just don't hurt my eyes, and let the .dawproject shine like a star in the sky with the .clap format, then it'll be pure joy and happiness.
ps, And let the clip launcher and scratchpad not clash, but become good friends instead.![]()

The rounded corners will help it blend in better with some desktop environments on GNU/Linux -- GNOME especially -- and maybe some tiling window managers.xbitz wrote: Thu Oct 03, 2024 12:35 pmhttps://songmixmaster.com/presonus-stud ... s-features
let's say the screenshot was the most important
"Elements have been redesigned with round corners, CPU usage is slightly reduced, and features like a MIDI harmonizer and new color schemes bring a fresh look."
BTW, Clip Launcher and CLAP support in your other post had me thinking: CLIP, CLAP, CLOP, CLUP? (CLEP is already used for College-Level Examination Program in the US, but I think CLOP and CLUP might still be up for grabs.)

What is the provenance of this list? AI is more than capable of making stuff up. I wouldn't trust anything like this if it's come from ChatGPT.xbitz wrote: Thu Oct 03, 2024 9:57 amThe complete feature list for PreSonus Studio One 7 includes several exciting updates and improvements:
Again, there is no provenance on this, it could just as easily be somebody's wet dream about the future of Studio One.

Not only that screenshot has leaked, but the whole release build. The feature list provided by xbitz is correct.BONES wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 3:32 am What is the provenance of this list? AI is more than capable of making stuff up. I wouldn't trust anything like this if it's come from ChatGPT.

If the release build has truly leaked, then there's a severe lack of actual information.
Either way - it's only 5 days until the official announcement, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Somebody said the screenshot, that doesn't mean it actually did, and xbitz said he used ChatGPT to get his information, so that's totally unreliable, too.VVRV wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 7:38 amNot only that screenshot has leaked, but the whole release build. I'm not saying it's wrong but you'd have to be pretty gullible to be so sure it's right.

^^^ used chatGTP to parse the article (to able to ask the possible missing feature from the previous posts) and create a list from it

this wasn't a proclamation, just a humble question, not the same

You already have 90% of all the actual information about upcoming SO version. Check the screenshot at page 7 of this thread. In addition to static image I can say that despite visual changes made to Audio and Instrument Parts all the previously available features are still in place (e.g. Gain Envelope, Fades etc.). Parts can now be looped similar to Ableton Live, no need in shared copies. Clip Launcher is barebones, but does its job well. Scene Playlist compensates for lack of advanced Scene Follow actions found in Live's launcher.koalaboy wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 7:41 am If the release build has truly leaked, then there's a severe lack of actual information.

More info you can already get by yourself from not-so-deep-web
Edit: Stem Separation tool is available as a separate downloadable extension inside SO. Overall, this update seems as a gradual evolution of an already great allround DAW.

I wouldn't buy a car based upon a picture and a spec sheet. I'd want to see it being driven/reviewed and then test-drive it myself.VVRV wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 10:16 am You already have 90% of all the actual information about upcoming SO version.
Until I can actually see it 'in action' and dig deep (or have proper users detailing it), then I may have lots of 'information' but no real knowledge. I'll wait to judge anything.

Why not to test-drive this car yourself? Try before you buy, you know...koalaboy wrote: Fri Oct 04, 2024 10:19 amI wouldn't buy a car based upon a picture and a spec sheet.
