I can't say for Ubuntu but I'm having a good time with MXLinux21(LiquorixKernel), Yabridge 3.7 and Wine-Staging 6.22
I still have crash with Msoundfactory sadly, MXXX and MADEQ work fine.

Do you have multi-core enabled? That crashes for me too if too many voices are playing at the same time. But if I disable that, it's pretty stable.

I tried playing with it, it's worst when off on this old laptop. Mega stuttering barely can play sounds. Maybe on my home pc it will work I'll try this weekend.

Hello,
I'm using for instance the demo version of MDrummer, and I find it sooo good I'm about to purchase it.
I already own Jamstix, but it's a mess in Linux, there is always something that makes it crash.
Until now, MDrummer, on the contrary, works very well.

I use Fedora 37 (beta) with KDE desktop, on a very powerfull laptop (xps 13 9320), with the generic Kernel (5.19 preempt-dynamic), and the distro Wine package (7.12 staging). This system uses Pipewire.

Hello, having problems with MSoundFactory (Windows version) and REAPER (native Linux) in Linux Debian 12 with wine 9.18 staging, both Tkg and clean, yabridgectl 5.1.0.

If I tweak FX and right click the interface the REAPER (7.23) right click menu pops up and REAPER hangs completely.
Any hint on how to avoid this? I also have installed nvidia drivers.

I need to use MSoundFactory reliably... sigh...

Thanks for any hint...

Sadly, from what I've heard it's not deemed feasible to fully support Linux. Otherwise, it could well make me leave Windows for audio. Good luck anyway!

Well, it seems that setting "run as" for Melda Plugins in REAPER as "separated process" makes a whole lot of a difference: no more right click interferences - the Melda menu appears instead of REAPER menu and no more deadlocks...

Will test further :)
