It is as if you are saying to me the owner of some top-tier Chevrolet car model suddenly becomes disappointed because someone is buying a cheaper downstripped different model from the same vendor.

Incredibly silly.
Sure. Listen, everything you guys are saying makes sense, I just bristle at these hype bubbles. It’s the hype bubble that bothers me, not the product itself.

Well, it sees like this is pretty much confirmed now based on other forums and there is a little more info around that suggests it has a speaker but only has 4 tracks, very similar to that Yamaha Seqtrack thing (which I also had no interest in!).

Then we are friends in that regard. Same here.

Studio One, Tonverk, Move...its not really the companies producing the hype its us! unpixelating images, trawling through historical posts...come on, its fun ;-)

apparently came from this Japanese store page, but seems to have since been taken down ...

(69,800 Japanese Yen = 470 USD)

But the pads are no longer joined like push 3, which makes me think this is not mpe which would be sad. Looks like it would be a nice little mpe controller with knobs, plus if were standalone, that would be a great little controller.

Could be a kool device to bounce Ableton Live sets to, and then DJ/Showcase/Perform in a live set - for that theoretical hardware stability advantage.

But at $500 ballpark, I really hope this isn't a case where Move is to Note what Push is to Live.

Note is a $9 app, with very limited sound design capabilities. Synthesis is relegated to a limited amount of presets you can tweak a few parameters (correct me if I'm wrong), and the rest is mostly sample presets - also with limited tweaking potential (again, correct me if I'm wrong). You can record your own samples with the mic, or rip them from files I believe ?

For $500 ballpark, I want more than that. More synthesis, more opportunity to create custom synth or sample presets, more in depth parameters to tweak.

If this is simply Note in a box, they can miss me with that price tag.

What a pity: it's not a moped.

As someone who uses Ableton only occasionally as my secondary DAW, the idea of a stripped down Push is actually pretty appealing. I owned a Push 2 years ago and it was cool, but way more than I needed, so a more basic one with a smaller footprint might be tempting, but only if the price is right (i.e., not $400).

So it's a Novation Circuit / Circuit Tracks then lol :hihi:

According to spec it’s poly AT only, still pretty good for a portable device.

So it's a 1/2 a Push 3 standalone . Shoulda called it a Tap or Nudge . It's not even a Shove or a Push .

Seems kind cool, but only 4 tracks is really low for most of what i would do.

I wonder if there is good compability with MIDI 2.0, Linux or bitwig?
