No fixes for SampleOne at all if that's the full list.
Have to use CR8 again for simple sample-playing.
DAW looks more modern now somehow, splice integration is great and have to try launcher to see if it's any good.
Will upgrade nevertheless.

Not one, single thing I have even the slightest interest in. Seriously, what a complete waste of time, even worse than I was expecting. I wouldn't waste my monthly bandwidth downloading it, even if it was a free update. Very disappointing.

It's great that it now has native support for my Launchpad Pro! I'm also glad they added stem separation and CLAP support.

Agreed, they could have made it so much sleeker, and got rid of the mess. Lots of things that are just not needed.

so the 15 year wait for these developers to create a browser with tagging was lazily coded to implement a subscription service to Splice ? Presonus you’ve gotta be kidding us right ?

They added auto busses for multi outs. Where's my credit card :hyper:

Oh wait I can do that in 2 seconds in Version 6. Nevermind.

Awesome.
No hesitation here, like I did for v6.
Worth the money just to play with the new stuff, in not just one area, but many.

The implementation of the looping and launcher is very nice. I'm not sure I need it just yet, and I would have liked to see a few more workflow things rather than splice, but I'll see.

Post

Ill give this one a miss this time. Nothing really usable it seems.
Samplers still havent been fixed. Timestretching is still track and not event based, ...

Also not very fond of this annual payment thing- it was the same with BW- they promised maschine gun updates but that never materialized- at best on or two updates per cycle. So I highly doubt there willl be 3 or 4 updates pery year with S1. (at least decently functional ones)

Is it just me or they actually implemented a clip launcher withou the option to map it to keys or a controller (apart from their atom- mentioned in the release notes)? If so, whats the point.

Post

Umm, you can timestretch any clip independently. Just Alt-Drag either end of it, whether it's MIDI or audio. It's been there for at least the last four years.

Downloaded, tested and just like V6... very disappointing...
Now, time to see the new bugs!!! Exciting!!!

Post

Studio One has been so disappointing after version 5. Still lacking basic things like scroll button navigation or real track presets (you can't make FX/Bus channel presets).
