Why would I, as a musician, want to use Splice?
I write and record my own music. That's the point of being a musician.

Out of everything new in Studio One 7, I find it the most offensive of all.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Is there an option in Preferences to uncheck rounded corners, or change the curvature angle at least, to minimize the roundness?

Pretty sure nobody uses that unison crap .
Otoh Having a clip launcher is totally differerent and could be a welcome addition , perhaps it's time to get of your high horse .

No. The view from here is good.

Ahhh .. Ok after more testing, Impact is definitely not working correctly.

For example, I load Impact I drag over an audio loop while holding down shift, the first time it does work.. it creates the midi clip as it's supposed to. If I then delete the midi clip in the arranger and try doing the same thing and drag the audio loop into the smaller
Impact UI in the edit window, it refuses to work..

Then if I try to clear the bank and try loading it back into the Impact ( regular UI ) not in the edit window, it will no longer work. And continue to not work until, you load another Impact instance, this will confuse people.

This is NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. Presonus Beta testers didn't catch this

I have to agree with this ! I'm not trying to sound like others, I have my own content I want to tag ,my own synth recordings I've recorded for many years, my own sound effects, guitars, drums + bass, you name it, the fact Presonus left our request at the feet of Splice is aggravating, when the browser should be able to have this technology natively for OUR Content.

So if there's anyone at Presonus that hears this message,we know you do, please just give us the ability to tag OUR OWN Content !

So, is there no demo currently? I don't see anything anywhere either on the website or my presonus account, so I'm assuming no.

Yes, because from high up there everyone looks just as small as you feel yourself.

And why I never update until after the first point release!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

The tiny price differential between upgrades and new purchases is shocking. Is anywhere selling the upgrades cheaper?

Yeh, great update…weird pricing. You can get a 6 months subscription with a perpetual licence included for 99 bucks at Sweetwater- that seems to be the cheapest way to get pro7
