In Mulab Plugin 9, you can change the quantity of audio inputs and outputs in preferences.
Was there ever an option to change it for the older Mux plugins? Or were the default channel counts fixed?

IIRC in older versions there was such option by editing the MainSetup.txt file. But that's not supported anymore. Go MuLab 9! (And soon MuLab 10
