But it's not so much better that you'd bother f**king about moving everything from one to the other, surely? I moved from Bitwig to Studio one and from a purely mixing perspective, don't see that it's better at all, unless maybe you rely purely on on-board effects but, again, surel yyou'd be better off buying a few plugins for that, instead of investing in a second DAW?kev2525 wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2024 1:17 pmYou use the strengths of both to produce. Bitwig blows S1 out of the water when it comes to modulation and creation of music imo. The modulation system is so intuitive and beautifully thought out. S1 is much better for mixing with better tools to mix and master. It even has a built in mastering toolkit.
PreSonus Studio One 7 apparently imminent

Presonus devs need to check out the New Ableton 12.1 browser and how smart tagging works! Incredible, it’s unfortunate Presonus chose to rely on Splice vs doing the real work needed for the s1 browser. Hopefully they download a copy and learn what their users have been asking for , for 15 years +

You should probably change your user name here to 'Mr Smart Tag', cause you never shut up about smart tagging. Can't you post about something else in Studio One threads? It's like listening to a stuck record.trusampler wrote: Sat Oct 12, 2024 1:57 am Presonus devs need to check out the New Ableton 12.1 browser and how smart tagging works! Cute look we have an internet tough guy trying to play dictator.First off if you don’t like what I have to comment on, don’t read it. I’ll post what I want whenever I want, and you won’t do nothing about it, you can tell someone to shut up on the internet. But that’s where that ends. You'd never do it in the real world and even you know it. Kvr members, can and will post whatever we want to baby hitler you don’t get to dictate the comments of threads.THE INTRANCER wrote: Sat Oct 12, 2024 2:16 amYou should probably change your user name here to 'Mr Smart Tag', cause you never shut up about smart tagging. No, you can do this. Just record enable the tracks, start and stop the clips as you like and it will create a new arrangement for you as you go in real time.gentleclockdivider wrote: Thu Oct 10, 2024 9:00 pm
I have watched it before and it doesn't answer my question
Simple :you have a clip launcher with clips/scenes and and an arrangement which is empty
Can you record your actions of the clip launcher ( changing scenes , clips ) into the arranger , just like ableton does ?
Edit: seems that it does not , you can create playlists in the launcher and import them into the timeline but NO real time recording (into arrangement)
I got a free upgrade to Pro 7 by the way. Registered my Studio One Pro 6 upgrade on August 1, the first day of the grace period!

That did it for me, I bought and just installed. Plenty of value for 120 bucks (90ish quid) including the new flight VST which is pretty good, XT editor, batch converter, CV instrument etc.. Still looks and feels just like S1 6 so no need to panic, you don't need to use any of the new stuff if you don't want to and the actual 'workflow' improvements are very good (global transpose, impact in the drum editor, user scales, fold, tempo detection that seems to work...
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Same in Euro-Land. Best Service offers for low €135. That equals your £113. Didn't find any lower price so far - and currently no valid promo codes available.dellboy wrote: Sat Oct 12, 2024 1:22 pm How did you get it for that price?

I am VAT registered, but a lot of sites you only have to put your address as USA (forces overseas) and pay with PayPal and you don't get charged VAT.dellboy wrote: Sat Oct 12, 2024 1:22 pmHow did you get it for that price?SLiC wrote: Sat Oct 12, 2024 10:41 amThat did it for me, I bought and just installed.
