No.
where is the demo then ? when we try, only the SO6 is available ?
I got this post from the Presonus forum so I guess you will need to be patient and wait for it.

The Studio One Pro 7 demo version is coming in a few weeks.

still dabbling with s1 7. just curious is there a way to split notes in the piano roll without selecting every single note? Im working on a pretty complex chord progression right now with notes with lots of interval variations which means some long notes and some short notes. when i want to split some notes im having to select the notes and click on them perfectly if i click in the piano roll with the knife tool it unselects. if i command click with knife tool i get a logic or bitwig like split note behavior but it splits the region up too lol. is there anyway to get that behavior without the region splitting?

this piano roll is kinda frustrating and i cant put my finger on it. its just very finicky if i were to say but that is beyond subjective as i cant even describe why i dont vibe with it. as someone else has said the lack of perfect zoom when opening the piano roll compared to every other daw is annoying but for me its more interactions that annoy me.

Hold option while double clicking a region. Is that what you are looking for?

holding option and double clicking the region is working after the fact but it isn't perfect before the fact but again its a minor thing for me. that is awesome to know about though.

and my tool was set to basic! thank you!

teilo wrote: Sat Oct 12, 2024 11:37 pm CLAP support seems to be working, with the exception of Airwindows Consolidate. Loads just fine and the controls work, but it does nothing.
Some AudioThing CLAP plugins also don't work properly. The plugin window titlebar turns to a plain grey block.
Also: TAL U-No-LX-V2 and TAL Sampler show no S1 toolbar. Adding Surge XT or any FullBucket plugin crashes S1.

Seems like the CLAP support is very poorly tested and half baked.

That's what I'm afraid of with Linux support as a whole as well. I worry that it may be half-baked, just like v.6 was. I'm waiting for some brave user who already has it to test and let us know the results. S1 looks interesting, but not interesting enough to break my rock-solid reliability that I have with Reaper on Linux. So, I wait and watch..... :)

Studio One better transient detect bend. Zero Crossings Bend macros.

Isn't it great that the users have to do this as well, and they actually do it? :hihi:
I looked into that macro. Heck, what a plain primitive approach!

But if it works... who wants to complain?

I thought CLAP support was supposed to be super easy for devs to implement. I recall that being the main selling point. Good thing CLAP is non-essential and everything comes as VST3.

Uhm, no, it is very hard, CLAP devs just dont have a clue or they are lying since they are in that kind of market position.
I swear the S1 dev team must hate CLAP by now!

I don't know for sure, but I think devs ingeneral was way more impressed by VST3 when it was released. A worthy successor of VST2 for sure, which is not a surprise since Yamaha/Steinberg really listened to what the industry wanted, they took all that experience and feedback from the users and the plugin devs, on what could be done better from VST2. Now, that is integrity. The owner of the CLAP format are just trying to dominate what others must do to fit their agenda, like signing questionable contracts.

Sore about what? That CLAP hasn't lived up to the hype?
I never bought into it anyways. So I'm not the one who has anything to be sore about.
Just glad I didn't invest in it.

I am pretty sore about the direction PreSonus has chosen to take with version 7, though.
But that has very little to do with CLAP.
