buffalo roam wrote: Tue Oct 15, 2024 8:08 pm Since you're still looking for feedback for future development, I'd like to repeat my concern about the sequencer. On a MacBook Pro, without a scroll wheel, there is no way to shorten note lengths within a step. Per your video, I tried using the shift key and dragging left on notes with no success. Lengthening notes this way (dragging to the right) is no problem. Thanks for your consideration.
Did you try moving mouse over the step volume, and use swipe left/right gestures on the trackpad (with 2 fingers, not 1)? Swipe l/r gesture = scroll wheel x axis, Swipe u/d gesture = scroll wheel y axis :)
Thanks for responding. I have tried swiping on the step volume with two fingers going left and going right on my trackpad--both with and without holding down the shift key at the same time. Again, I can only get notes to hold for a longer period of time, but I can't get a single step to shorten to a half- or a quarter-step. Swiping left actually had the effect of lengthening notes. This just isn't working for me on my computer.

SM1 presets are present in the browser but simply play the previously selected working SM3 or SM2 patch. So, I installed SM1. Now the patches do work but there are double entries in the browser for every SM1 patch. So annoying. This really should have been sorted before rolling this out. I hope they get these bugs fixed because, like others have mentioned, it is putting me off using SM - just doesn't seem solid/finished and wastes so much time messing with stuff that should just work.
I know the code that I wrote, and I tested this (installing sm2 presets without sm2 installed) before rolling out. There are many use cases though and sometimes I can overlook some of them, like the one you just reported: Installing SynthMaster One/2 after installing SynthMaster 3.

EDIT: Just fixed this duplicate presets issue. will be in the nex update 3.0.4

No it is not necessary to install SM2.

Sorry to keep bumping this, but I'm keen to hear from @kv331 about this.

No, not yet. but let me see what I can do about it. A basic oscillator is the same as a modulator except that the osc is stereo and the mod is mono, so let's add that feature for v3.0.4 :)

Is there any update on when there'll be a fix for the 'Import preset bank' not showing any file dialogue issue? Unfortunately this version's not a lot of use to me until I can use my SM2 presets.

You can use your SynthMaster 2 presets. Where are the presets located?

I've exported them to a file (from an old PC that had SM2 installed - only SM3 is installed on the new computer). I'm trying to import them to SM3 but when I click on 'import preset bank' nothing happens so I don't know how to get them into SM3.

Copy them under

My Documents/SynthMaster3/Presets folder

and it will see them.

Just added support for reading the "natural" scroll wheel setting under System Settings\TrackPad (MacOS). will be in the next update. If it checked off, listbox controls will behave like on Windows.

I sure hope that gets fixed! I don't want to have to install anything other than SM 3. :(

EDIT: It looks like KV331 says that both apps don't have to be installed after all. Hopefully bilrobin's' issue will be resolved if it's a bug, and if it's a PEBKAK, then I hope that gets resolved too. :)
