unlinking clips

When I "d"-copy clips, some of them are linked - no option to edit them individually and some are autonomous. What determines this and how can I unlink clips?

Post

Are you talking about audio clps, MIDI clips, step clips? All three? By linked do you mean they're all selected or do you mean they are part of a linked group?

When I press D it creates a duplicate that isn't linked, unless I am duplicating a clip that is already linked.

A linked clip will show that it is a linked clip at the bottom left. The controls for it can be found in the clip header.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

All kinds of clips. Yes they have the link symbol at the bottom left. What is the first clip that you create from scratch linked to? When I create a first clip and then "d"-copy it, they should not be linked / in a link group - right? I could remove them from the linked group. Simple and straight forward, should have found out by myself - anyway, thank you!

Nothing.

That's right. I couldn't find any way to duplicate a non-linked clip that would result in it being linked. If that's happeng to you, I have no idea how or why.
