I found this video for Zebralette3...

Here's a link to some free single cycle wave forms like he mentions in the video.
I was able to drag and drop into the window :tu:

If it is only drag and drop, I'm afraid it doesn't work on Linux (both x11 or Wayland)
Sorry, there is no drag&drop support on Linux. We might have to add another loading option for Linux users, like we did with the soundset installation.
Boomer. And is there a way to place the wav in a folder from the pc file manager, and find it in the plugin ? (like the soundsets)

Post

Hi running tests on Zebralette 3; it's crashing on Windows 11, Ableton 12. I load up an instance on a MIDI channel, the UI of the plugin goes white (and appears larger than my small screen, not sure if this is a big deal though), then crashes the application entirely.

Thank you for making this amazing synth available for free @Urs.

Are there any news for an upcoming update? Are there still plans to add dark mode or are darker skins available somewhere?

I hope UScope will be released as a separate plugin. It looks great and I would be willing to pay money for it.

Especially if UScope could show multiple tracks superimposed on top of each other like how REAPER does it, it would be perfect:

btw, Pianoteq can install soundset with drag&drop on Linux, there must be a way.

There surely is a way.
It's not like we did not try.
But even the man who ported our plugins to Linux, who truly knows his way around there, eventually gave up because it was too complicated.
We might look into this again, but I really cannot say when it will happen.

Well, relying on system browser would be fairly enough. I prefer you to spend dev time on Zebra 3 to be honest ;-)

Post

Oh, and btw, are you soon to release a new Zebralette 3 beta ? I would like to try it more deeply, but it frequently crashes.

Post

+1, Thanks for that fantastic piece of SW.
+1 on the query vs. an update. There was none, no ?

I had to stop using zebralette3 cause of crashes. I run it in GigPerformer (Host).
I could play it. That worked fine.
But assoon i had the Editor open would i start to see crashes. Too often.
Drag & dropping wavs onto it ( vs. wavetable import) did also crash it. Way too often.

So, hope there will be an update or soon a release of Zebra 3 (?)
P.S. I gladly had donated a Pizza if there had been a " buy me a Pizza" button.
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

I already posted on the dedicated closed beta team forum , but since there isn't real activity I 'll post here to .
Did something change ?
I downloaded the latest public beta and a simple phase distortion patch uses 70% on my old i7 laptop from 2018
This didn't really happen with previous versions , the refresh rate is a meager 800 hz
Not sure about this but wasn't there also a vst 2 version available ?
Also , just showing the gui puts a lot of strain on the cpu while idling , turning a few knobs considerably slows down the graphics in my host Renoise ( osciloscope etc..)

This is still the same version we posted earlier this year.

UI will use a lot less CPU once the scope visualisation behind the waveform editor will be optional.

Try to import only single table wav.
