I think Current’s strongest asset is speed and accessibility.

For me I can get a sound quicker on Current than just about any synth out there.

I don’t get the criticism of the UI. for me it’s really well done. It’s like a cross between Serum and Pigments.

I think the FX are among the best in their class. Morph EQ really shines in the context of the synth because you can modulate the Morph parameter.

If I’m looking to build a sound from scratch Current is my first port of call. It has a “Goldilocks” feature set. Not too little and not too much. Just right for most application.

I also like how Minimal lean into its modernity as opposed to yet another synth with generic presets.

I know that rubs some people up the wrong way but it’s kind of refreshing to have something that’s not trying to emulate the well worn collection of synth sounds.

Would still love that velocity to amp level though!

No they didn’t,it’s still rent to own.15 dollars a month for 15 credits a month. You can also pay for a year in advance I believe but you got to email them about it I think. I’d just buy it now on sale, I paid 200 dollars for it and It was worth it to me

So - on the new Play View, can you modulate the new Macro X Y pads?
You can modulate the macros themselves but that seems different than these new pads. I know you can move these around with your mouse - and I guess you can save as a preset - but the next step is to modulate these things. I don't see them listed in th emod matrix or as modulatable parameters in Reaper.

The X and y axis represent all four of the macros so automating/modulating them is the same as automating the macros. You should be able to record the automation while moving the points on the X/y pad and get four automation lanes

Yeah it is weird that they removed the option,I believe they said you could still pay for a whole year on their Discord a month or two ago but because it’s Discord it’s challenge trying to find a comment from that long ago

Yes. Very devious crowd these guys. You have to be very cautious with these guys, otherwise they will rip you off in no time.

Is the distinction in terms of FX that the base perpetual license includes the use of all FX within Current, whereas all access also allows individual FX use outside of Current?

Yes Current includes all the effects built in. The separate effects plugins are separate and are for use outside Current. The only outlier is Rift which is not included in Current,in its place however current includes polar distortion,which is like Rift except it has no modulation system of its own. Al Access includes all of them plus all preset, wavetables and Samples that Minimal has or will release for use in Current. If you purchase the wavetables and samples outright they are also available for use outside of Current.

I would like to see the preset randomizer on the Engine screen. It's on the new Play screen, and the preset popup dialog, but would be nice to have it near/next to the preset chooser on the main page.
