Now my next major task will be adding a waveform/wavetable/sample browser to make the workflow of finding/selecting waveforms/wavetables/samples faster. Any input welcome

The wavetable browser in Phase Plant is pretty good and could serve as inspiration.kv331 wrote: Sat Oct 26, 2024 11:49 am Now my next major task will be adding a waveform/wavetable/sample browser to make the workflow of finding/selecting waveforms/wavetables/samples faster. Any input welcome![]()

The menus showing those items aren't too bad right now, but maybe if the list could be shortened depending on how many are in a certain category or name. I used your name here for an example, and the list goes on for quite a while. It's like scrolling to infinitykv331 wrote: Sat Oct 26, 2024 11:49 am Now my next major task will be adding a waveform/wavetable/sample browser to make the workflow of finding/selecting waveforms/wavetables/samples faster. Maybe for instance, just show "Brs" and "Choir" (not Brs C3, C4, C5. etc.) and then if you click on one of those, then it shows all the others starting out with Brs or Choir to get to the separate files.

I'm trying to set up Synthmaster 3 with my controller via VST parameters (using Reaper/Realearn). It doesn't appear to detect any of the parameters and from the dropdown lists these aren't accessible via the DAW so direct automation can't be used. Is this a known limitation and is there any workaround or is the plugin only controllable via MIDI CCs?

The thing is, parameters are dynamic in SynthMaster 3. So, you need to add a host parameter first.sdp6000 wrote: Sat Oct 26, 2024 2:37 pm I'm trying to set up Synthmaster 3 with my controller via VST parameters (using Reaper/Realearn). OR, for continuous parameters (knobs/sliders), you can modulate them with a Macro knob/xypad. Macros and XYPads show up at the beginning of plugin automateable parameters.

this synth needs 1 finger preset promotion
i hope it is succesful so far, the amount of content and quality seems incredible. i need to test it much further and see how it compares to Avenger workflowwise.

sometimes, i will select a preset, then the next several presets play the sound of the first-selected one...??? odd, but everything else is working (logic 11, sequoia...)

Thanks, I'll check them out. Can these be set up globally or are they per preset? I use soft synths when playing live with a Midi Fighter Twister, I tend not to look at the screen and the controller shows the current parameter values via MIDI feedback.kv331 wrote: Sat Oct 26, 2024 4:48 pm

I disagree. I want to see the information so I don’t have to poke around to find the right sample. I don’t mind the menus being long.Examigan wrote: Sat Oct 26, 2024 2:24 pmThe menus showing those items aren't too bad right now, but maybe if the list could be shortened depending on how many are in a certain category or name.
