you said that there would be no more significant T2 features announced, as if it were fact.. which does seem to indicate clairvoyant skills.

Well, yes, your reasoning is sick, and your arguments are weak and tired....no wonder you're frustrated. You really need to focus on the discussion points I am making and stop making personal attacks
At that point he had made no personal attacks on you. But you had made severeal 'unreasonable rants'.
I'm entitled to rant, it's a forum. Doesn't warrant filthy illiterate insults.
whyterabbyt wrote:Perhaps you would be so kind as to quote the text where I supposedly personally attacked Mr. Lunch Money.

Oh yeah, how bout this. You call him a snob when you misudnerstand what he's saying when he talks about loop recording. That's a personal attack.
I can't figure out why people are such snobs about audio loops
Nope. Not personal unless Mr. Money includes himself in that group of people. And I wasn't really responding to the loop recording comment, more to the "IT'S A f**king AUDIO SEQUENCER" comment. I was just offhandedly referring to working with audio in general, but that's not insulting him either.
Well, yes, your reasoning is sick, and your arguments are weak and tired....no wonder you're frustrated.
He said he was sick, tired, and frustrated, I was just agreeing with him.
whyterabbyt wrote:And lest I be too obtuse, I don't appreciate you personally insulting me in this post, either.

Tough. I dont give a f**k what you appreciate. You're a liar, a hyprocrite, and a self-righteous and self-important twat who can't handle being contradicted without making it personal and attacking people. So deal with it.
Well, now that you've thoughfully analyzed the issues and outlined everything for me in such eloquent terms, I'll get right to work on it! I'll report back each day to you personally so you can monitor my ongoing progress towards becoming an integrated and whole human being. Riight.
whyterabbyt wrote:TW, I was thinking about calling both of you "ignorant childish fucktards with no life

Got us confused with yourself then had you?

and nothing better to do but troll on KvR at 3AM"

Guess you dont know the meaning of the word troll and are too stupid to work out that its actually lunchtime in Europe.

You guys have a day shift in England? I thought everybody over there worked nights. You know, over here in the good ol' USA people work all hours...maybe that's why US per capita productivity is twice what it is anywhere else in the world. Oh, look at the time!
whyterabbyt wrote:but I immediately realized that would've been a senseless personal attack

Amazing you've suddenly realised some restraint.

and would do nothing to help steer the thread back on topic

Oh yeah, all the whining...

So have a nice day y'all.

You too petal. Have fun being a 'degreed software expert.'
Will do, as soon as I get back from my 3 week paid vacation. Until then I have plenty of time to come here and bait poor slobs like you into writing all sorts of idiotic foul-mouthed nonsense.

Cheers!

FOr those who may be new around here...:

Jules (the developer) started a thread more than a year back in which it was clear that he was giving the piano roll in T2 a major overhaul. He canvassed opinion and the thread went into many pages. I'm *sure* he didn't ignore all the contributions made, and Ben (Mackie marketing) knows that we *all* know full well that these improvements are coming.

A couple of months or so ago, Jules started another thread here at KVR in which it was revealed that there will be more third-party plugs bundled with T2.

We also know there will be a boxed version.

Various other things can be deduced from other contributions Ben and Jules have posted over recent months.

The feature list on the Mackie site is FAR from complete, and YES, we know this for a fact.

So stop moaning about the "lack" of features until the list is done. And if you don't like the "striptease" approach, by all means don't look for the next month. It's up to you!

what's the problem that people seems to have with logic
(no, I don't mean the sequencer) these days? :?

Let's see - what do they have revealed until now?:

e.g.

- New 64-bit Function and 192kHz Support:
The sound quality of the internal summing bus is better than ever with Tracktion 2's new high-definition 64-bit mixing option. Plus Tracktion 2 comes ready for 192kHz audio interfaces for the ultimate in bleeding edge digital.

Did you ask for it? Me not...

- Scalable Interface:
Tracktion 2's single-screen interface can be scaled to virtually any size, permitting users of large monitors to devote some of those pixels to other applications, while still keeping an eye on Tracktion. Thanks to a unique vector graphics based approach, the interface simply shrinks or expands with minimal scroll bar exaggeration

Did you ask for it? Me not...

- MIDI Step Recording:
Piano playing skills not quite up to Carnegie Hall standards? Tracktion 2 offers a step recording mode, allowing you to enter MIDI notes correctly and at your own pace. This powerful new feature lets you sequence even the most complicated passages with confidence and ease.

Did you aski for it? Me not...

I'm not a programmer, but I tend to believe that not all of the above functions have been coded in a few hours... - I think Jules had to put work into it.

So the question is:

(and please try to think about it for a moment before you are making a stupid conclusion)

Why should Jules put time and work into implementing these things only a few people asked for if he did not has implemented the features a lot of people askked for?

To annoy all customers? To lose potential new
customers? To get bad magazine reviews?

Why???

The point is:

The more esoteric the new features are that appear on the T2 site the more assured we can be that the important new features like better time stretch, improved midi-editing and audio loop-recording have been implemented.

Try to think a bit and the world around you looks brighter.

Actually, I'm in the engineering department.

And, yes, there are many more big features coming. Does that help end this topic any sooner?

Actually I think about it and I come up with the exact opposite. Sorry. Doesn't make me stupid or wrong. Well maybe wrong (hopefully) but not stupid. Hopefully.

Ooh I sorta like that one, might take first place in the "clever bithead insults" category. The list is long, though.

Gimme what cha got, I don't care...my baby loves me. My mama loves me. And my baby's mama loves me too. And I want my T2 with lotsa MIDI on top, dammit.
