That's actually not a long time. We're all a little spoiled by apps that have frequent updates but a lot of that has to do with constantly shifting security policies on major software that have huge development teams. We all cried for years that XT was abandonware and then suddenly a new version came out. Possible reasons for this "long" delay:halcyon68 wrote: Sun Oct 27, 2024 11:54 am Hmm, no updates in more than half a year. I hope he didn't give up.
- All the critical bugs are fixed, now it's less important small ones.
- A critical bug that actually takes major code refactoring.
- A new major feature that takes a long time to get right.
Long live XT!

It was, and now appears to be again. This toxic positivity is grating. People can be a little negative when their software (version 2 that never manages to match v1’s features) is abandoned.

yeah, i flicked through that earlier, articles that say absolutely nothing, guessing AI ("Q: Is there any audio editing software that offers automation? Yes, several software options have automation capabilities")

Goodbye again, XT! May you suddenly resurrect without warning or announcement some time in the future...

Surely there must be consensus by now...
