Prophet Rev 3.2 Owner Needed…
I sold my Prophet 5 Rev 3.2 (with Sequential standard MIDI kit) in preparation of getting a new Rev 4.
I assumed the Rev 4 could read my Rev 3.2 Sys-Ex patch data, but Sequential says it is not possible with the Rev 4 at this time (and near future).
Now I have no way I transferring my Rev 3.2 Sys-Ex data into Repro-5 to see the settings.
Is there anyone out there that can help me ?
I have a Logic Pro Sequence only containing one track with the Rev 3.2 Sys-Ex patch data for a single preset. I could also save this sequence file as a Standard MIDI File if you do not have Logic Pro.
If someone play the Sys-Ex data into their Prophet Rev 3.2 and then export that preset as an audio preset file in WAV format - I can the import that WAV file into U-he converter and see the settings.
Is anyone out there willing to help me try this ?
Thank You
Marcello

We indeed have a tool for this:
https://u-he.com/tools/
Scroll down to "Prophet 5 to Repro-5 preset converter". It can convert syses as well as audio from the tape interface.
Please let us know how you go with it!

When you save your SysEx from Logic to a .mid or .midi file, our file converter can open and read these, too. The procedure is the same as for a .sysex / .syx file.

Here's an update....
I was able to get Sys-Ex Librarian to receive the data.
But it looks like the Sys-Ex data is pretty much empty.
Size = 17 bytes
Size Decimal = 17
Size Hex = $11
F0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 F7
Chesksums
MD5 = 9d813ef96b9f39b46ca3e23b2ebe5509
SHA-1 = f55e580abce9296b5d259281b0a5fa692c1b9b1c
At the time when I recorded the Sys-Ex data into Logic, I did the following with my Prophet 5 Rev 3.2
1. Hit Record on Midi Track in Logic
2. Press the preset button, ex. for preset 27, “7” just for that preset.
I had read that Prophet Rev 3.2 Sequential MIDI Kit would transfer Sys-Ex data when following that procedure.
Look like it only did maybe a Program Change Event.
I don't know what went wrong here or what happened.

Do you have audio examples of that preset in use? Maybe it's quicker to just recreate it in Repro-5.

maybe try uploading to soundcloud.com - it's a service that's made for sharing audio files.
