They are but the v21. folder. 24 just installed as a separate piece of software for some reason. Maybe dependency on 21, who knows?

There's no dependency involved. FL Studio 2024 installed by default into a separate installation location, because it is a different and standalone version to FL Studio 21.

If you still have any user content files located within your Program Files installation folder for FL Studio 21, then you should probably use this update to v2024 as an opportunity to migrate any such files out of that location. User content (such as: "Loops, kits, midis and acapellas", etc.) should not really be stored there.

Move them instead to somewhere safer, such as to your User data folder instead. As recommended by Image-Line...

I will. I have them in the Patches folder - only because you sometimes get presets in these soundbanks and it's difficult sometimes to root out various vst preset storage. One time I had to go into the bowels of Windows because they were stored in something called App/Roaming Data.
