https://www.synthtopia.com/content/2024 ... -nov-15th/ There's news on Synthtopia about Phasemistress Phaseshifter free through November 15th. It happens to be the most extensible phaser in the plugin industry. I love it and own it already. Requires iLok though, BTW.

Has fuckloads of different timbres?
But it's true, it is an incredibly diverse phaser. The different algorithms/styles, of which there are something like 30-40, cover a lot of territory, from sheer and glassy to . . . Seriously can't think of another adjective but the things free so get it! It can be deployed nicely as a mix tool if you want to Carve some space in an instrument- turn the modulation off and hone in. Annoyingly small gui but the sound is great.
Kinda annoyed that I paid for it a couple of months ago. But that's how the game is played.

I have a hunch he meant "extensive" (i.e. "the phaser with the most extensive feature-set")...whyterabbyt wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 5:04 am i suspect the more appropriate word would be 'flexible'

iLok for a plugin that is normally sold for money, but is free for 2 weeks, after which it will be sold for money again. Take it or leave it, no? (I guess many will leave it, I already paid cash money for it)

Machine authentication is what I use. Free. When an HD went south, ST replaced my lost license for free. Nobody punished me at all.

Happy for you. But I live by different values. And creating annoyance and useless cpu/ram usage to customers is not a value I believe in. Especially when its proved that it doesn't actually protect anyone from anything. The only real outcome that ilok have is inconvenience and frustration for the customers.
But, as I said, I'm happy for you. Enjoy your effects. There are just plenty of options for me not to go anywhere near ilok. There's no "secret sauce" that only one plugin can have. They all do more or less the same thing. Its what's between the ears that counts.
