That's exactly the right way to approach it. The thing that took me a long time to figure out about myself and that I try to alert others to at work is: no one will know what the heck this means years down the road and/or I'll forget, people will leave, etc. So don't just document the issue, document the rationale for the approach so anyone running across this 5 years from now without the background can understand what happened, but also why we did what we did. Spending an extra minute writing an extra sentence or two can pay off in the long run.Urs wrote: Mon Nov 04, 2024 9:24 pm And I will document the incident as a reminder for our devs to keep things tidy and well explained.
The problem is, this reminder needs constant repeating and reinforcement as most people aren't wired to think that far in advance by default and get lax.

The Zebra2 and ZebraHZ downloads have been updated to RC1, revision 16765.
We removed MIDI control access to the tabs via the "last clicked control" option to prevent those random crashes.

The first post has been updated with a release candidate of Repro 1.1.3, revision 16797.
If none of you stumbles over any showstoppers, we aim to release this version in about one or two weeks.

I wonder if one of my u-he plugins (zebra2, zebraH2, Presswerk, Satin) is causing Reaper to hang and crash. On Linux, running from the terminal, there is a lot of log verbose, and it appears that sometime, if I let a project open and idle, there is a sudden hang, huge cpu load, and at this moment, I find a lot of u-he log in the terminal.
Maybe there is nothing to do with the crash, but I'd like to revert to a previous "final" version of my plugins, I mean, without logs. Is it posible ? Or, can I provide a log file or whatever that someone at u-he can figure out ?

Have a look at this link: https://u-he.com/support/
If you go to the bottom of this page, you will get access to various versions of your plugins.
https://uhe-dl.b-cdn.net/release-archive/
This link in particular has releases of older installers. You may want to delete your current plugins though as I am not sure if the installer will overwrite them when downgrading.
If memory serves, you will find them in:
/home/<username>/.u-he (Linux & Mac)
Documents/u-he (Windows)
Make sure to backup your skins and presets if you wish to delete any plugin.

Still waiting Presswerk update. For me it's really impossible to use this compressor right now...

You can always go back to the previous version if that works better for you.Alexander_D wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2024 7:13 pm Still waiting Presswerk update. For me it's really impossible to use this compressor right now...
As I think I said, we most likely fixed the problem you have, but it was a major surgery - hence we do not immediately have a new version for public testing. Once Repro is updated we'll continue to update Presswerk.

These beta versions contain the same amount of logging than any final release versions.robisme wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2024 10:25 am I wonder if one of my u-he plugins (zebra2, zebraH2, Presswerk, Satin) is causing Reaper to hang and crash. There usually is a bit of logging when a plugin instance is loaded.
But after that, it's just occasional logging that can often help us track down issues a user might report.
We do not keep any logging active that could impact the performance.
You can, of course, contact our support, so we can look at your logs.

Small bug (?) report for Repro 1 (also present in the current stable build available on u-he.com): when you add Repro 1 to a MIDI track in Ableton and you click the presets tab and then select the first patch (named A Leaky Groove) there is a small audio pop. You can both hear it and see it on your track volume meter.
PS: I love how the effects section was redone with hiding and reordering!
