Looks quite nice! A little bit worried about it not officially supporting VST2. I'll probably wait a week or two and keep an eye on how it's received, but I will probably upgrade.

Does anyone know if the stepsequencer has adjustable time signature per lane ( for polyrytm) and step length per lane ( for polymeter)

I really like Cubase. And working in this DAW from version 11. I was a Logic guy about 8 years, then Ableton about 4 years. And now I am pretty happy with Cubase. And this update is really really good!

It does look like a 1:1 copy of studio one's pattern sequencer

This is pretty epic. I’m a cubase noob so this is going to take forever to learn but it looks worth it. Can the daw wars end everyone keeps hitting the that was easy button as they +1 their competition

What is the grace period for free updates?
Edit: looks like it was from the 9th October., so I missed it by 2 days. Ah, no, it was the 8th, so 1 day.

Yeah, same thoughts here. I’m still on Cubase 9.5 and used to be a somewhat regular user as a secondary DAW (primarily a Logic user), but haven’t really used it in years. Presonus gets some use as a secondary DAW, but quite frankly, they haven’t released any features that interest me in years, so I think I’m done with them. C14’s features look much better for my needs and this update looks very impressive, so time to demo….Serhii Kot wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 4:50 am Very decent update! Just what I was expecting from Presonus. But Presonus did not deliver. Just add more flexible FX routing for tracks (aka splitter in Studio One) and it is all I want from modern DAW.
I am very satisfied with this update. And I am not even a regular Cubase user, but I can become it in the future.

Steinberg nailed this update to Cubase 14. The modulators are well done, and the new plugins are things I'll use. There are also range tool improvements, a new drum track with built-in drum synthesis, and changes to the ruler track. All solid updates.
I use Nuendo for post-production work, so I'm excited to see the Nuendo 14 release.

I clicked the upgrade pretty quickly.
I’ll probably go see what they’re saying on the Cubase forums but has anyone noticed the modulation isn’t ‘fast’? It’s like they all have a slew rate adding a ramp time to the change. When I want a saw shape mod, I want that vertical edge to hit immediately. I couldn’t find a slew control.
Still… lots of cool ideas in 14.

Pretty disappointing overall. Modulators are not really all that exciting. There is a new volume plugin that is in the pro version only, so that's... that's something I guess.

Yeah, need to explore more, but at first try, modulators looks not so fun and quick as in Ableton Live or in Bitwig. On youtube update seems more flashy and great comparing when you load it and try by yourself.
