I am interested in purchasing the "Analyze, Monitor and Control" bundle but first wanted to demo some on the plugins.

I am currently demoing the Oscilloscope Multi. In Logic I have two tracks, each with a snare drum hit. The sample was copied from one track to the other so they are identical. Logic Tempo is set to 60 bpm or 1 beat/second. The snare sample on the second track is offset in time by 1/2 beat or 500 mS. When I measure the time difference in Logic it does indeed show 500 mS.

I have an instance of Oscilloscope Multi on each track trying to measure this difference of 500 mS. Using Sync Mode = Flow, I can see and capture both snare hits by using the Freeze All button. The time difference between the start of the waveforms measures approximately 600 mS? What gives? I must be missing something important. Can you please outline the correct procedure for getting an accurate measurement. I have looked for help using the Oscilloscope Multi but there isn't much in-depth material to be found. This is very important in my purchasing decision.

Hardware/Software: M2 Max Studio running macOS Sonoma 14.7. Logic Pro 11.0.1

Thank You

If I remember well, Logic has some pre-roll settings that may add delay between tracks processing, so they they may appear with an extra delay in the oscilloscope (that shares the data received on all tracks). You may want to double check the audio settings and remove all the extra pre-roll or "exotic" plug-in processing options.

Thanks for your help!
I got it to display the correct time using Audio Tracks. Before, I was using software instrument tracks with drum hits and that does not display the correct time. Does not matter whether or not delay compensation is ON or OFF.

Also, is there a better explanation of how to set up the routing, other than what is in the manual?

Thanks for the feedback. It seems that Logic indeed does odd things behind the scenes in some cases.

Have you already checked the tutorials available on our website for the Oscilloscope Multi?

Yes, there is nothing very specific to the Routing. Any other resources available?

Nom that's pretty much all we have. Regarding routing it's not rocket science, there is not much to say about it. What kind of information are you specifically looking for?

The demo only lets me instantiate the plugin on 2 channels. Let's say I want to look at 8 channels so I do 8 instantiations. What will the Routing Pane look like; will there still only be 2 rows, Channel 1 and Channel 2, and 16 numbered columns?

Can I look at stereo channels and mid/side channels at the same time?

I am not sure what you mean here. The oscilloscope indeed only has 1 or 2 channels (mono or stereo), so you can have a maximum of two channels available in a single instance. Whatever the number of channels , the user interface won't change.
