Any plans for an apulSoft compressor?

I am really really loving everything apulSoft is putting out. Finding apQualizer to be my go-to EQ (and I have a lot of EQs). Would really complete the fx (eq-saturation-compression) trio.

What did you have in mind?

I find the dynamics controls in the EQ quite capable of both general compression, dynamic eq and transient shaping, the only thing missing for me from the EQ for me personally is sidechaining and multichannel support.

I once started working on a compressor, but it never reached a release-worthy state. I might pick it up again in the future, but there are two other plugins in the works before that. Personally I like to use apShaper for dynamics with the work split between the dynamics module and removing dynamic by saturating the signal. The dynamics code in apShaper and apQualizr2 is not great when it comes to detecting very short features and the gain transfer curve is kinda rigid. A proper compressor would have intersample peak detection as well as much more flexible gain transfer curves. I'd also definitely would want to have multiple stages that can be used in parallel or serial configurations.

I'm new to ApQualizr2, but blown away by its versatility and possibilities. (Not even to speak of ApTrigga and Shaper).

I stumbled across Apulsoft while looking for tools that I need(ed) for rather exotic surgical signal processing and kind of re-synthesizing signals in realtime in the frequency range mainly 0-40 Hz for haptics/tactile use with linear voice coil movers and shakers.

Besides my niche use, frankly, I don't get it that it seems to me that your truly outstanding processing tools are kind of unknown to so many. (Mostly everything these other " bespoken innovative flavour of the months" plugins are marketed with, can be done with your apps since long...). AQ2 alone replaces a dozen of effect plugins at once. And once you get the unique workflow it's simpler than getting used to the many other plugins that I would need to do what I can just do with one of your tools.

Talking about the up/downward compressor and limiter (in AQ2 that work pretty well for me), seeing what you created with your existing plugins, I'd be amazed to see your approach for a dedicated "ApCompressor" that allows to manipulate dynamics in similar elaborated ways as your other apps provide for their dedicated purpose.
