MuLab App M10.0.12 beta for Windows 64 bit is available on https://www.mutools.com/mulab/app/lates ... /beta.html

What's changed:
  • EQ/Filterbank: The Low & High Band "Q" parameter had a wrong name. Fixed.
  • In specific cases, switching a rack fader pre/post position could cause a crash. Fixed.

Hello MuTools

Thank you for your great work! v.10 looks extra promising to me (esp. regarding what's going on inside the RACK module.)

Are you planning to release MuLab Plugin 10.x betas as well?

Thank you!

Post

I would love to see Mux open as a VSTi or a VSTfx plugin in any DAW.
Perhaps this can already be done when opening Mulab plugin only Mux is shown.

MuLab 10 doesn't have a Plugin version available as yet, only the standalone.

On Windows, MuLab 9 Plugin has two DLLs. Make sure you've got them both in the right place and your DAW has found both. The filenames are different and the VST names are different, so they shouldn't cause the DAW to get confused:
* MuLab 9 Plugin (Effect)
* MuLab 9 Plugin (Synth)

Yes, but it will be a bit later, still working on some core M10 developments.

Did you already check out MuLab 9 Plugin? (and soon MuLab 10 Plugin)
Isn't that what you're asking for?
If not please elaborate.

If I upset you I apologize.
I admit I know vey little about Mulab.
Perhaps I am overlooking something very basic.
Anyway, Mux is what turns me on.

Ok making some progress. :)

Absolutely not. I hope my reply didn't sound so.

MuLab Plugin = MUX Plugin with extra modular power, so that it cannot only act as a pure synth/sampler/effect but also as a composer, or any combi of these.

Ok, basic example:
Say you want to have use MuLab Plugin as a modular effect:
* Plugin MuLab Plugin, the vst effect version.
* In MuLab Plugin -> Project -> Template -> New Effect.

That will setup MuLab Plugin as a basic effect.
Now click the 'modular' button in the control panel above the big Gain knob, at the left of the pencil button, that will show the modular area and from there you can start your modular effect adventure.

Also see this video that explains the very modular nature of MuLab:

Made some more progress.
Thanks for "forcing" me to look a bit deeper.
Beginning to like Mulab/Mux. :)
Unfortunely my time ran out.
Will get back to it soon.

If this was ARA capable Mulab would be my main DAW.
But happy to use it as a plugin.
That's how I feel this minute.
Also would love to have multi-touch capability.

Is there a preferred Mulab and DAW combo?
Currently a Studio One user but I am looking at these DAW's as my one and only DAW.
Reaper 7
Studio One 7
Cubase 14
FL Studio 24 they have promised to add ARA capability.

Is the a drag and drop capability from and to Mulab to a DAW?

I can't advice here as i think that depends on what you expect from a DAW.
MuLab Plugin should work fine in all of them.

From DAW to MuLab should work fine as it should be the same as dropping from the OS to MuLab.
The other way around is not yet implemented, except that in MuLab (both app and plugin) you can copy audio to the OS clipboard which makes that audio available anywhere audio can be pasted.

Just curious: Are you on Windows or Mac?

Post

I am on Windows 10, 64 bit.

Good to know that Mulab is equally good on all DAW's or at least on my four contenders.

Thanks on the Drop and Drag details.

I really like to work in a modular environment and did so using Bidule.
Along with Mulab I had looked at a few other plugins.
Looks very likely I will make Mulab my number one plugin primarily that I can run Composer inside Mux Though up to now had spent really little time using Composer.
As I explore more I will likely find more reasons.

Thank you for your time.
