Soundtoys Plugins still not resizable?!?! "there are no plans currently to implement resizable GUIs for our plug-ins"

I think that v6 of Soundtoys will bring a GUI refresh of some of their oldest designs. The sound is after all pretty damn good.
I do have to squint at some of the plugins, but I still wouldn't want to miss them from my setup.
Btw, I find Valhalla Delay, Fabfilter Timeless, Newfangled Recirculate and so many more, different.
WIthin their workflows they work perfectly fine. For me the same applies to Echo Boy. The Soundtoy folks are good at tuning their plugins to be useful within the range of their possible settings. Of course those handy confines as well as their visual interfaces can always be improved IMHO.
Hopefully that will be what's keeping them for so long. It wouldn't bother me a whole lot if they were just making more good tools to be perfectly honest.
How long ago did v5 pop up ? I can't remember.

Shouldn't the title of this thread get changed? There's a rep from Soundtoys in the thread, on the record, saying they ARE working on resizable interfaces. It's just a matter of time.

Well the thread title in part is "Soundtoys Plugins still not resizable?!?!" and they're....still not resizable so that part is accurate.bk wrote: Thu Nov 21, 2024 5:46 pm Shouldn't the title of this thread get changed? Maybe remove the "there are no plans currently" part.
As for "it's just a matter of time" this thread was started on February 21st 2022 so you'll forgive some for being a bit sceptical.
In far less time than 2 years and 9 Months Plugivery has added resizable GUIs to some 57 plugins (and set the updates free for existing license holders) so again I don't blame anyone for having little faith in Soundtoys.

Whatever post you are referring to has been deleted, so for those of us who missed it, can you give us the TL;DR (Too Late, Didn’t Read) ..?adl wrote: Thu Nov 21, 2024 1:43 pm Leaked Soundtoys forward plan:

Totally fair. I'm not sure if this will help your skepticism, but here's a screenshot from my desktop from earlier this year. Truly working on it!bk wrote: Thu Nov 21, 2024 5:46 pm

I’m sure everyone would also love it if we could lose those somewhat dated and redundant wooden box graphics around the plugins too. The plugin faceplates are enough (as per EffectRack), the wood bits just seem a bit 2010-era skeuomorphism. Old fashioned, but not in a cool, retro/vintage way, imo…
The Soundtoys folk are good people though…

For me it would be weird without it.
But then again i am a creature of habit.
I gave NI grief over maschine 3, kontakt's new look (insisted the old look still be accessible in Kontakt) etc..
Gforce when they changed the SEM gui and wanted to change more of their already released plugins..
Gave patrick grief when he briefly changed the look of tal j8
And my list goes on and on..
I like old and familiar with my tools.
Actually I can't off hand think of any product that drastically changed the gui and I preferred the new look.
