Let's say you keep using VST2 and don't plan to change. Over time, developers will start to drop support for VST2 and stop putting out updates. Future versions will eventually be VST3 only, and/or CLAP (AU on Mac, sometimes AAX). Then you're stuck in a situation where you have lots of projects you have to slowly, and perhaps, painfully migrate to CLAP or VST3.Saffran wrote: Fri Nov 22, 2024 12:38 pm I don't understand the question?
It is, nor will it be, anything wrong with vst2,4 when it comes to plugin users.
It is a developer thing.
The sooner you do that, the better. But you can use VST2 for as long as possible if you so wish.
