Yes, I have purchased couple of software from UAD since, should have seen this coming. I guess I was ignorant to their business model. I am not anymore and there fore my argumentation. Enlighten me, how does that help your argumentation? What is the point you wanna get across?

1. They seem to have some kind of mechanism in place for selling used, given that you bought yours used.

2. They took care of you when you wanted a refund for your purchase.

3. By the sound of it, they have given you more free stuff than you have bought from them, which I would classify as “caring about their customers”.

1. I mentioned the only mechanism they have already.

2. Because there is a law of consumer rights. Not their kind heart.

Universal Audio’s business strategy is to give us better plugins for less money than their competitors. Even going as far as selling entire bundles for the price of a single plugin. I’m not mad that some plugins are included in more than one bundle. The bundles are all still great value.

Haha! Jokes on you, they are in competition with other software companies for the customers attention, once you as a customer have been enrolled into the UAD environment, they do not care about you, at all. They do not give a F, if you have multiple licenses of the same software, if you been included in their promotions/upgrading bundles, more than often support dont even know what’s in the bundle. In the UAD forum in the pricing topic” representatives are not there to discuss pricing or policies” Ironic.

How can you be that heartless and throw people to the wolfs? Is it just ignorance? Or is it just as some of you seem to agree, basically do not give a damn?

In any case, why would anybody listen to you?

I have been using their plugins daily for 23 years. I feel that I have gotten good value for my money and it doesn’t bother me that other people have gotten the same plugins for lower prices. Furthermore, just last month, UA gave us the all-time greatest upgrade bargain that I’ve ever seen from any company so it’s really hard for me to be mad at anything they do now.

Understand, them lowering prices are just a response to other software developers. In order to compete for the same market. There are way more developers releasing plugins today than before due to technological advances, anybody can buy a powerful computer, software today is in many cases today not a real problem for any computer either. This changes in prices doesn’t come as a surprise, neither do they come out of the goodness of their heart.

It’s a question of moral and ethics. Do they have any if they do not care? Then I think lots of people should be banned here as well.

UAD still worth it?
