I am using Msuperlooper triggering record with my Boss Ms-3 footswitch. Trouble is I just want to record a loop and then have it play back. That's it, trouble is the loop then has overdub on. I turned off the two overdub options in settings but it still overdubs! It didn't originally the first couple of times but then.. I have now tried this in Studio One and Reaper, same story. Any idea what's wrong?

Not familiar with Msuperlooper, but if you are already on Version 17.02 and this behavior started only recently, I would try reinstalling Version 16 and see if it is corrected.
At any case, report back here, so to help finding out what is the situation.

Are you using it sync'd?
I use one button to record, the same button to stop record, plain and simple.
Have you tried the use of Mark End? I think that only works when sync'd.

Yes I'm using it synced. And doing the one button record and then straight to play. I set it to 4 bars so it should go straight to play, which it does but it seems to overdub regardless of how I set it. Will try rolling back to version 16 as I am planning to use it live.

Normally, when recording a loop, you need to stop recording to let the recorded loop play without overdubbing. You can also switch to another track or loop to continue recording, and the first loop will not overdub either.
Recording typically doesn’t stop automatically unless you have an option like "Recording stops at main loop" enabled. Do you have this option turned on? If you enable it, the behavior should align with what you're looking for.
We haven’t made changes to these settings in quite some time, but if something that used to work isn’t functioning as expected, please let me know, and I’ll look into it.
