This BF i'm getting -
nothing, but more time to use the plethora of stuff i already have.
simple formula:
spend less=more time
shop and spend more=less time
That said, there are finally somethings that i might buy sometime- Sumu and MYTH. Nah, i really want a perfect emulation of some old 70s one OSC subtractive synth instead.

Hopefully you got Unify on sale. It has been on a Black Friday sale at its lowest ever price. Great deal! $49.stoopicus wrote: Sun Nov 24, 2024 6:01 am .....aaaaaaand PluginGuru Unify. But it was not on sale I think, I just wanted it (have wanted something like it for a while).
I picked up PluginGuru "Electric Dreams" library. Not sure it's actually considered on Black Friday sale as it is on its introductory price, but I'll mention it. Absolutely fantastic library.
Nothing else yet is jumping out at me for BF, but that could change.

For myself, I usually can't afford anything until around Christmas. I usually look at the expiration date for each of the Black Friday deals. Most only last until Dec 1st or so. Some of them however continue on until the end of December, or at least they end up being extended at some point.
If u-he did another one of those rare 50% off sales I might get one of their plugins, or I might just get Mona for Diva. I already have way too much stuff as it is.

I love Mona, IMO u-he should buy it from PlugMon and make it the default skin. It’s so good.Examigan wrote: Mon Nov 25, 2024 11:22 pm If u-he did another one of those rare 50% off sales I might get one of their plugins, or I might just get Mona for Diva. I already have way too much stuff as it is.

I did it! I jumped on the Musiclab Black Friday sale and bought three virtual guitars! I bought RealGMS, RealStrat, and RealLPC. They are Windows applications, but my research shows that they work fine in Linux with WINE. They do however use challenge/response copy protection, which I swore I would never buy. However, I think this is a very, very special circumstance. Guitar and bass samples (as well as any large deeply sampled instruments) are not plentiful on Linux. So, I must do what I must do to get things done.
It is funny and a bit ironic that I bought the Musiclab instruments yesterday, and today (five minutes ago, actually), I just read the news about Plogue bringing out native linux versions of their plugins, including Sforzando! All of my Karoryfer SFZ samples will now be able to be used natively!!! LOL Things are constantly getting better for Linux!!

Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

I bought the GMS as well. ICBW, but it appears to be a key file to authorize it and also improved with just a double click, whereas the older ones made you browse to find it. Wasn't aware of Plogue adding Linux native though. Thanks, with the current sale it might get me to buy now...

Are you sure about that? - I'm pretty sure with MusicLab products, it's just a keyfile (on Windows, at least).audiojunkie wrote: Tue Nov 26, 2024 10:49 pm I did it! I own all the MusicLab guitars. So I just dowload each Guitar's "licence file" from within my MusicLab user account > "My Purchases" section and then activated each Guitar plugin offline via that licence file.
But I do agree that the MusicLab Real Guitars are great products and are recommended. The more guitars you own, the cheaper it is to purchase additional/new ones from them in the future.
For example, I managed to purchase RealGMS recently for just $49.04 / £39.00 (before tax). Since, their customer loyalty discount also applies "on top" of their current Black Friday discount $79.00 / £62.82. Which is great, since a lot of other developers don't stack simultaneous discounts like that during their Black Friday special discount sales.

Just got Sonarworks VoiceAI. Lots of fun turning synths into voices. Giving me major 2002 vibes.
