Unfortunately I can only reiterate what we always do, i.e. we can neither deny nor confirm any plans - since it would defy the purpose.
E.g. if we acknowledge a sale beforehand, we'd lose a lot of revenue (and probably disappoint people if the stuff they're into ends up not being discounted). Likewise, if we always say when we do not plan to do any sale, it'll be easy to spot when we do. Therefore we say nothing.

Dude, they already clearly said they can't discuss any plans for sales.

I was waiting for a discount to pick up Filterscape, but... 15%? This is, of course, your business, but even 20% is already much more psychologically pleasant. But I suppose you've decided to return your plugins to their past value by defusing the secondary market a bit.

Any u-he plugin is well worth the full price, in terms of sound, functions, stability, support and the quality of the included presets.

We actually only wanted to do a discount on preset banks, as we did a few years ago. It's only because of the situation with our previous payment processor that we try to offset the damage a little with this sale.Dombaeb wrote: Thu Nov 28, 2024 9:53 am I was waiting for a discount to pick up Filterscape, but... 15%? We only started doing sales at all so we could plough through our backlog of technical debt. That is, without sales we had to release new products, and releasing new products wouldn't let us focus on much needed maintenance. As this phase is slowly coming to an end, we hope to get back to releasing new plug-ins, enjoy our work life a lot more - maintenance work is draining -, and maybe indeed get out of the spiral of ever more crazy sales.

Slowly and surely, capitalism is killing us all.Urs wrote: Thu Nov 28, 2024 11:57 am and maybe indeed get out of the spiral of ever more crazy sales.
Being a person of small income, of course I have to keep an eye out for good deals—I don't really have a choice. But even so I think all the Black Friday insanity has gotten utterly out of control. So many stores and companies cramming weeks, if not months long sales down our throats through every possible medium. And despite that, entitled consumers still whine about not getting enough. I'm just so sick of it all.
Just... be grateful for what we get, folks, is all I'm saying. No one owes you big savings. World's already broken enough, we don't need to make it any uglier.
And I realize this post doesn't really add much to the topic at hand. I guess I just needed to vent a little.

We'll go easy on you because venting is currently 50% off for BFelcalen wrote: Thu Nov 28, 2024 2:48 pmSlowly and surely, capitalism is killing us all.Urs wrote: Thu Nov 28, 2024 11:57 am and maybe indeed get out of the spiral of ever more crazy sales.
