It's a different kind of reverb, because it actually simulates specific placement of instruments within a real acoustic space. You can place multiple instruments/tracks in the room and control all of them from any Ambiente instance.

Looks very impressive.

Wish there was some way to look at more details (such as a manual) without having to sign up by creating an account.
Manual is here:

2cAudio did the (seems to be) same a couple of years ago with the PBJ System (Precedence linking with Breeze 2) and it's working extremely well.

Interesting. To me, the Bricasti plates sound different than the physically modeled/sampled physical plates in Lustrous Plates and Valhalla Plate. Not saying you can't get close, but you don't get the frequency dispersion that a metal plate gives you. I like playing around with that parameter in Lustrous Plates.

I'm sure you're right but I haven't even really explored what I can do with 7H when it comes to plates so I didn't feel the differences were something I couldn't have got to with a bit of tweaking. Which may well have been wrong but I just didn't hear enough of a difference for me to want to put the time into Lustrous Plates (given that I still haven't properly explored what I already have). The "problem" with both 7HP and CRP is that I find a sound I like very quickly and then just move on before I've tweaked around.

Hi everyone, we have an 80% Flash Sale of Comet Reverb - ending on Nov 23,
- Comet: $29 (full price: $149)

Damn I literally bought it on the $59 sale yesterday

The blurb on the Comet page says "Comet’s advanced morphing capabilities best sets it apart from more conventional reverb plug-ins" but I don't really see how it's somehow not also a conventional reverb. It seems to use all the usual conventional controls for diffuse, size, decay, color, and dampening. Less conventional (and more useful) would be something like room dimensions (width/depth/height), materials, room occupancy, source location, and mic location, all modeled with the appropriate maths, of course.

I like Klevgrand’s Revolv and IK‘s Fame and SunsetSound Chambers… Not sure if they’re the best, but they‘re good enough for me.

Interesting. I own it but never quite gelled with it. Maybe time to try it again.
