As topic says , audio rate modulating a 2 pole bandpass (or lowpass) crashes the audio engine
in the screenshot you can see the settings of the modulator
Make sure there is a considerable amount of fm modulation , then just increase te pitch of the modulator to max , result is clipping resulting in silence and an unrecoverable audio engine

Please share a minimal project demonstrating this issue.
"Minimal" = No plugins, no samples, as simple as possible, just to demonstrate the issue.
Thx.

I can't share since I'm running the demo
It's all self explanatory and shown in the screenshot
A saw osc into a 2 pole filter , then a sine osc coverted to a mod signal + modmapper , going into freq. input of the filter .
Increasing the pitch of the modulator crashes the audio engine

In extreme cases there indeed may be mathematical overflow.
The overflow most probably occurs in the filter.
This is an IIR filter and such filters are more sensitive to extreme modulation cases, like pushing the modulator frequency almost to its max.
You can reset the sonic overload by right-click the play button -> Panic.

This explains everything
Why not go the zdf route , and add some filters that can take some beating ? :tu:
Don't get me wrong I think mulab is a great achievement ( and belgian :tu: ) but I really expected much more from the modular environment .
The modules are too high level making certain things imposible to achieve .
When people read the term feedback they automatically think about guitars and amps  ,, but I am strictly speaking about z-1 feedback in the digital domain ,crucial for dsp tasks .
