I've just migrated to Stripe and they have a powerful API with webhooks and everything. I've not tried the support yet, but there is no platform fee and everything seem to work perfect. You can decide how often and when you want a payout.

I didn't realize the cost of Slack Pro is per-user, so the cost would scale up dramatically. It's still possible to use the free version, but it has 90 day retention of messages and files. Not so good..sjm wrote: Tue Dec 03, 2024 10:57 pmI believe you need a certain number of posts before you can send PMs.
The message board at kvraudio.com is great, and I'm sure there are many more lurkers than posters.. but it's not so good for getting all the "little fish" (like us) to act in a more organized way.
For example, perhaps many USA vendors might all use the same law firm to act on their behalf (payed on contingency).
Or perhaps all USA vendors file complains to the Minnesota Attorney General https://www.ag.state.mn.us/Office/Complaint.asp (https://www.ag.state.mn.us/Office/Complaint.asp)
ag.state.mn.usag.state.mn.us
There are other governmental organizations that don't respond directly to reports, such as the FTC in the USA, but instead "Your report goes into the FTC's Consumer Sentinel database, which is available to federal, state, and local law enforcement across the country." and then "The FTC also uses reports to spot trends.." In other words, it might be beneficial to get lots of vendors submitting a report to the same governmental agency -- whether in the USA or Europe..
These are just my thoughts.. I think if we're all acting individually in a disorganized way, we don't have much power..

Now they not even issue a statement anymore -
Or has anyone already received the October period statement (not the November credit note)?
This still has worked and in time so far - now not anymore this is working.
Maybe they think when they don't issue a statement at all they also don't have to pay 30 days after issueing the statement which doesn't exist. Dirty trick. But issueing a statement 30 days after sales period end is in the contract too.
They break every point in the new master services agreement, but nevertheless charge the new support fee and platform fee.
When one side repeatedly breaks a contract a contract gets not valid / not effective anymore imho. Not sure what's the law regarding this. So they also shouldn't be allowed anymore to charge these fees

I've migrated to Stripe since october. Support is very very effective and even in Frenchdivinglog wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 10:34 am I've just migrated to Stripe and they have a powerful API with webhooks and everything. The dashboard, configuration and monitoring of transactions is simply exceptional. I regret not having migrated before especially since it is much cheaper. Invoices are made by my company.

That's a bit of a worry. But their communication has been very good for me. They appear to be a small support team, but at least they're humans!DKSoft wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 8:48 am I don't know what is happening with FastSpring lately.
Half of our orders have been rejected due to risk evaluation, and we have not received any response from their support team.
In the past (a few months ago) this was not an issue. All our support calls were answered on the same day.
What does 'risk evaluation' mean exactly? Dodgy customers? Or are they waiting on you to fix something?

I suppose they don't like some customers (email, location, IP...) - they risk rules rejecting the order rather than risking a chargeback.quikquak wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 6:54 pmThat's a bit of a worry. We have had a FastSpring account for many years (Contextual). It happened in the past too but not so frequently as lately. Customers contacting us and showing screenshots of an error.
MyCommerce didn't reject so many orders.
We are also integrating with LemonSqueezy at the moment. Most of those customers can order via LemonSqueezy without a problem when directed there.
Communication was good for us too, but from Monday we can not get any answer from support.

Does anyone know how I can terminate my account with MyCommerce? There is nothing in the admin panel to terminate the account.
I also have not received any payment from them since July. Support does not really reply to any tickets.
It all started a couple of month ago with the "Know Your Customer" Email they sent me with some required due diligence.
I just thought this is a stupid regular red tape process and payments are freezed until this process is done. Today after 6 month went by without receiving funds I did more research and found this thread with a Google search.
I started my business around 30 years ago with selling Shareware. I was using ShareIT since then. I never had any issue since recently. Ridiculous whats happening there.
I even received my November credit note already. See the platform and support fees in the attached screenshot.

Once, my regular support guy went on holiday, so my emails got queued - I had to start a new ticket to get it directed properly. (With DR, the only holiday AI takes, is from it's own mind!DKSoft wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 8:48 am I don't know what is happening with FastSpring lately.

I'm also using FastSpring but I have no idea how many orders are rejected. Probably a good time to learn how to use their API.DKSoft wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 8:48 am I suppose they don't like some customers (email, location, IP...) - they risk rules rejecting the order rather than risking a chargeback.

Before I used FastSpring I used LemonSqueezy because they were very quick to approve my account, unlike FastSpring.
I only received one complaint from a customer who couldn't use FastSpring. I directed him to LemonSqueezy and that went fine.
Do you offer both payment services on your website?

No, we are using only FastSpring at the moment because LemonSqueezy is not integrated yet (we have just made a few manual links for those that were rejected).twister336 wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 9:41 pmDo you offer both payment services on your website?DKSoft wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 8:48 am I suppose they don't like some customers (email, location, IP...) - they risk rules rejecting the order rather than risking a chargeback.

When integration is finished, we will try with LemonSqueezy for some time to see how it goes.
LemonSqueezy is based on Stripe and it was recently acquired by Stripe, so there is hope that it will improve and maybe offer more flexibility, similar to Stripe.
Update: Our support calls to FastSpring were finally answered and solved.

If anyone is interested we integrated with Paddle in September 2024 and since then we are super happy with their services.
It took us two weeks to integrate with their system. We get (free) Paddle engineering help (unlike DR paid help) and our monthly income get paid in several currencies every 6th to 8th of the next month.
Paddle is so much more ahead of what Digital River was before the ultimate scam.
